Fresh off of a two Sailfish day, Captain David upped the ante with a Striped Marlin release on the 30th.
A great trophy fish release can work up an appetite…fortunately Captain David delivered dinner in the form of these big Dorados:
Bob Rhinehart came to the Explorer looking to fill the fish box, and he got as that he asked for.
The big filets came in the form of big Yellowfin Tuna backed up a fat Dorado…excellent work!
Bob returned the next day for another foray into the blue water. The bite was slow early in trip, but heated up in a big way in the afternoon.
This Dorado hit at 4:45pm and even though it was late, Captain Fico knew they were on the right spot.
Less than an hour later this Striped Marlin took the bait at 5:25pm
From striking out to hitting a home run all within one hour…persistence pays!
Texas angler Brandy Willis brought her fun-loving group down to Nosara for an action-packed week of blue water fishing action.
This high-flying Blue Marlin was the first fish of the day for the flagship, and the action would stay hot throughout the day.
Next up with this aggressive flying Sailfish, which managed to spit the hook after a series of acrobatic leaps.
Awww, shucks!
Fortunately the bite stayed good, as evidenced by this tasty Dorado for the dinner table caught by Dustin Purvis.
Our new friend Will Stein and his family performed brilliantly on the mega panga Harvester, highlighted by this awesome Black Marlin release:
Captain Alex stayed on the hunt, and led the Stein party to more Billfish success.
March 29 was family fun day on the Discoverer! The only thing better than seeing young kids on the water is seeing them score big fish.
After this pair of Sailfish releases the youngsters stayed busy with 8 small Dorados on ice. Great work kids!
Captain David continues to astound with his performance on the Adventurer. On March 29 client Daniel Shoemaker scored TWO Sailfish releases on board the 23-foot switchblade.
These full-sized Sailfish were no match for Captain David.
After the safe releases, these clients continued to score. Check out this meaty Dorado:
Our long time friends Ken and Brenda Russell and Larry Komenda and Misti Nolan were back on the water for another great day of action on the Wanderer.
Several big Dorados got the action started early, and in the afternoon a fierce Blue Marlin hit the hooks.
Great work by Captain William to keep the fight short and excellent fish handling by Mate Johnson.
Captain Fico reports an excellent Sailfish release from his trip on March 26.
Michael Graham posted a wonderful scorecard on March 24 with Captain Fico reporting a big Rooster fish release:
For the dinner table this group nabbed some filets from the top-shelf in the form of the delicious Congrio.
Michael Graham joined up with the Discoverer on March 24 and started the day off right with this Striped Marlin release:
Throughout the rest of the day they bushwhacked ten small Dorado, yielding this sweet sack of filets:
Great day from Captain Carlos on the big battleship!
