Our old pal Scott Hed posted a banner day with Captain David on the 11th. His inshore haul was highlighted by this massive Dorado:
Thay also boated several more nice Mahi-Mahi filets for the dinner table.
The Discoverer welcomed angler Guido Henschien for a fun half day of action on February 9.
The big battleship ran the gamut with two nice Sailfish releases, followed up by a nice Dorado on ice.
The Harvester posted an amazing day on February 8 with Phillip Lommen and Ron Sever each reporting tons of Sailfish releases.
These boys didn’t go home empty-handed; they also piled the fishbox high with lots of excellent Dorados.
John MacDonald signed up for a 5 hour half day on the 7th, and despite the shortened trip Captain Alex still scored a nice array of catches.
After an excellent Sailfish release, John’s group loaded up on Dorado and Yellowfin Tunas.
Just imagine if they had gone out for a full day…still great work by the mega panga.
Craig finished up his birthday weekend on the big battleship and Captain Carlos put him on the fish. Check out this big Sailfish release:
Then on February 5th, Yaya Funes capitalized on the early season Dorado run with several nice specimens caught on a morning 5 hour trip.
Then on the 6th John Egan stepped up the the Discoverer and did battle with several nice Sailfish releases.
They also added more of our staple Dorados for the fishbox.
The mighty flagship Wanderer welcomed John Egan and his family for a fun day of catching, highlight by this nice Sailfish.
They also added an energetic Dorado for the dinner table.
Alex Stark took his party to the Harvester on February 5th, and this group nagged a sweet Sailfish release and a bunch of Dorados.
Too bad this was just a 5 hour trip…the fish were chewing the bottom out of the boat and the mega panga had to leave the bite in order to make it back to shore on time.
The Explorer had a banner day on February 3 with angler Brendan Champagne and his group nagging a wide variety of species.
This rocking Rooster Fish release headlined a day that also included a super Sailfish release:
Then the barroom brawler headed to the meat market. The first filets in the basket were these Dorado:
Then it was Yellowfin Tuna time!
Adding to the filet diversity was this awesome Cubera Snapper:
Excluding Marlin, this trip featured pretty much every major species in our fishery…all in a days work for Captain Fico, Mate Elias, and the multi-faceted Explorer

After this fun nature sighting, the Harvester got down to business with Craig Sutton and Rodger Dwork reporting excellent fishing results.

On February 1 our pal Dan Johnson joined Captain Fico and the Explorer for a fun day offshore.
They released two Sailfish, with one of them jumping off close to the boat. Dan also scored this nice big gaffer Dorado:
