Good early action on the Wanderer today with client Courtney Whitehurst and her friends. They staying inshore where the water was coral green and the group boated fifteen Bonitas and a nice Jack on just a 2.5 hr trip.
That’s a fish on every 9 minutes if you’re scoring at home. Great work ladies!
Richard Reiner had a nice day this morning with Captain David on the Explorer. They stayed near Garza Bay and bottom fished the reef under the Kingfish green water. Though they lost a nice Dorado, they did catch a nice 30lbs. Cubera Snapper and two 15lbs. Yellowfin Tunas.
They also caught this wee little Cubera but threw him back. Clearly this day’s haul will make for some fine dining back on shore. Great work Captain David!
The Wanderer was pleased to welcome Jack Thames and his group from South Carolina for some inshore fishing on June 21. Jack is a very experienced angler and Captain William kept him on the fish with the rods bent.
First, Mr. Thames took advantage of the schools of Rainbow Runners that have been swarming through the area the last few days. Then one of the deep lines ripped off and the telltale red flash meant that the mighty Cubera Snapper had thrown down the gauntlet
Mr. Thames outlasted the big red Buick and was treated to a 60lbs. Cubera Snapper. Later in the evening they boated another great Cubera Snapper, though not quite as massive as the first.
On the afternoon of May 13, Ben and Alysia Richards on the Wanderer caught eight big Yellowfin Tunas, four Black Tunas, and two Blue Runners on a 5 hr. cruise. That is a heckuva lot of fish for just a half-day on the water.
There was a great report on March 16 from the Wanderer of wonderful action on the inshore reefs. They brought in a nice Yellowfin Tuna, a Rainbow Runner, and the smallest Dorado imaginable (we threw that one back obviously).
Captain William welcomed these clients back to the Wanderer for a pleasant three-hour tour (sorry…it’s the Gilligan’s Island skipper hat that gets me).
Lines were popping the whole trip as they staying inshore over the reefs. They got a wide variety of fish including Yellowfin Tuna, Black Tuna and this nice Amberjack.
Most importantly, everyone had a blast out on the water. Great trip!
Nice weather and great action today. Over on the Explorer client Rory Lavechia caught Black tunas and Jacks on a morning trip. Meanwhile over on the Wanderer client Joseph Accarino 15 Black tunas and several jacks in just 3.5 hours.
When the morning is this hot, you know the afternoon billfish feed is going to be crazy, and sure enough client Stephen nailed a fantastic Sailfish in the afternoon.
To finish off the evening, client Brian Jones was with Captain Vibert on the Cabo and caught 10 Black tunas on a 2.5 hour Sunset fishing trip. Busy day for the FishingNosara team, but some great catches and satisfied clients to show for it.
St. Augustine anglers Roy and Cathy Cox followed up their strong performance on the Wanderer with a great day of action on the Explorer. They caught a pair of Yellowfin tunas over 20lbs, two big Amberjacks and seven black tunas. Great trip!
St. Augustine’s Roy and Cathy Cox had a fantastic day on the Wanderer. Great weather, great seas, and great fish. They ended up with three nice Dorados ranging from 30lbs.-40lbs.
Proof again that First Coast fishermen are second to none. Great work by the Cox crew!
Captian William and the crew of the Wanderer are back on the water and catching some serious fish. After one year of service, this 31′ T-Craft has been freshly painted and armed with new tackle from Star Rods, Penn, Shimano and a whole array of Williamson Jet Poppers.
You will not find a better-armed boat in all of Costa Rica.
On October 30th, the Wanderer was fresh off the hill and got her first action with our family from Nosara Paradise Rentals: General Manager Javier, his brothers Grevan and Eduardo, Marlon the painter, and friends Carolina and Emily. They had a great time and caught a nice Amberjack and a few White Tuna. The staff of Nosara Paradise Rentals work year round to keep our clients smiling…it’s great to see them smiling big as well!
