Captain Alex was deep in the battle on January 14 as client Kevin Poindexter threw down with an sweet Blue Marlin.

Mate Kevin estimated this beast at a little over 300lbs. Safe released alive and kicking as usual.

The big Marlin was the headliner, but it was supported by this excellent Sailfish release.

This high-flyer put on a nice show with lots of above-the-water action.

They finally outlasted this Sailfish, and brought home lots of nice photos of the fight.

This group rounded out their day with a nice Dorado and a sweet Yellowfin Tuna. Good thing, because it’s easy to work up a big appetite when catching all day long!

The Harvester welcomed FishingNosara Hall of Famer and Northeast FishingNosara Representative Mark Cooney for an excellent day of catching on the 12th.

BIG Yellowfin Tunas put the mega panga (and her tackle) to the test. Look at this rod-snapping catch:

The Harvester‘s “Never Surrender” attitude was on display at this 40+lbs. Yellowfin managed to break a rod, but not break the mega panga’s spirit.

Later in the day the fish got bigger for Team Cooney.

With tons of Yellowfin Tuna on ice, the ocean changed it up and providedย  lovely Dorado scores.

Fantastic work by Captain Alex and the Harvester!

Captain Alex welcomed Gage Bonestroo and his son for a fun day of catching on January 7. Big Dorado kept these boys busy.

Always fun to see a young angler enjoying the craft of sportfishing. Here’s what Gage had to say:

Took my 6 year old son on his first offshore fishing trip with Alex on the Harvester. It was one hell of a day! Captain and first mate worked hard to put us on fish… and they did! Great lunch and friendly crew. Thanks Craig for a seemless experience. Top notch.

On January 2 the Harvester welcomed angler Heinrich Raschhofer for a 6.5 hour trip and they were blessed with several sweet Sailfish releases early in the trip.

Ever wonder where we get inspiration for our shirt designs?

In addition to the safe billfish releases, the mega panga stacked the fishbox with lots of great Dorado scores. Look at these monsters:

Captain Alex welcomed Debra Hoffkins and here group for back-to-back fishing days on the 26th and 27th.

Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna scored broke the ice early.

A high-powered Sailfish ushered in the afternoon session; safe released as always by Mate Wilson.

The fish kept getting bigger as the day wore on, with more Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas finding their way to the deck.

After the big day of offshore variety, Team Hoffkins stayed inshore on teh 27th and bested this wonderful Rooster fish release.

This trophy fish was also safe released.

Great all-around trip by these Orange Park, FL-based anglers.
