Joseph Caveness and his family chose the Wanderer on May 18 and the family-friendly flagship scored a wide variety of fun fish.
Joe started the day with a nice 20lbs. Yellowfin Tuna and then the kids took over the reel, scoring this nice Dorado.
Captain William moved inshore in the afternoon and young Mr. Caveness scored a small Bonita and a nice Yellowfin.
This 25lbs. Wahoo provided more diversity tot the filet bag, and is a welcome surprise to find this close to shore.
The fish of the day was scored by Mama Bear in the form of this wonderful Rooster fish release.
All in all it’s a great day of family fun on the famous flagship!
On February 2, legendary Texas angler Jerome McKown walloped a wicked Wahoo on the flagship Wanderer.
This deck-sweeper is a true monster; each side yielded four 1-gallon bags of filets.
That wasn’t the only fish of the day…this posse of CCA TX anglers nabbed a big Dorado and a number of football-sized Yellowfin Tuna.
John Bottko enlisted the Discoverer for a full day on Christmas and brought the kids along for the trip to the meat market.
The battleship delivered four big tasty Dorados, then followed up with these small Wahoos, also called Wee-hoos:
Great work by Captain Carlos!
Check out this 100+ lbs. Wahoo scored by client Travis Nichols on the Explorer with Captain Fico and Mate Elias!
Our great friend Buz Underill had a magnificent day on the Discoverer. The battleship knocked out a big Wahoo, a rare treat for this time of year.
Big fish and big smiles on the Discoverer!
Ken and Brenda Russell and Larry Komenda and Misti Nolan saved their best day for last.
This MAMMOTH Black Marlin was the highlight of the trip, which also included lots of Sailfish.
They didn’t leave empty handed as Ken boated another BIG Wahoo, his second of the week.
After warming up on Harvester and Explorer, Larry Komenda and Misti Nolan joined Ken and Brenda Russell. They returned to the Wanderer and they meant business!
First on the hook was this fat Wahoo…steaks all around!
Great catch by Larry Komenda:
This is a true floor-sweeper, evidenced by this photo of Mate Johnson trying to keep her off the deck.
Ken was next up on the reel and scored this sweet Sailfish release.
The ladies were up next and got acquainted with some real high-flyers.
They finished off the day with a fifth Sailfish release.

The Discoverer welcomed Stephen Ruppert and he scored two big Sailfish backed up by a big-time Wahoo.
These trophy releases were great, but the white-meat steaks of a Wahoo are the real treat for these anglers.
Great work by Captain Fico!
Our good friends George and Laura Kommick spend a wonderful three days on the Explorer in mid-September. George released this nice Sailfish:
…but the unquestioned highlight was this MASSIVE deck-sweeping Wahoo reeled in by Laura:
That’s one heck of ‘Hoo!
