The Wanderer got in on the swarms of Dorados on November 9 with anglers Mark Scott, Diane Turner, Andrew Lipps, and Eli Bedran stocking up on Mahi-Mahi filets.

These monsters are a welcome surprise for this early in the season, and makes us very optimistic moving forward.

They closed the trip on a high note, with this excellent Blue Marlin release.

Great work by these fun-loving Florida anglers.

While most of Bill Harris’ group was on board the Discoverer, Mr. Harris himself took to the 28-foot barroom brawler Explorer and opened up her season with a BILLFISH GRAND SLAM!

This Blue Marlin was the highlight of the morning, and was followed by a late-day Striped Marlin. Bill nabbed the first Marlin, and Mark Scott scored the second.

A nice Pacific Sailfish by Diane Turner completed the Grand Slam.

They didn’t go home empty-handed, thanks to five nice Dorado catches spread throughout the day.

Even a small shark came up for a photo before being released.

Fantastic work by ‘El Brujo’ Captain Fico and the unstoppable Explorer!

The Bill Harris group put in some excellent work on the Harvester in mid-November. Early in the trip they nabbed this world-class Sailfish release:

Then Mr. Harris buried the hooks in a swarm of big Dorados.

Ever wonder how we come up with our shirt designs? Inspiration abounds:

The posse scored another excellent Sailfish release to finish off the trip:

Great job by the baddest panga in Costa Rica!

Tampa angler Bill Harris is a returning FishingNosara Hall of Famer and in mid-November he brought another great group of anglers to ply waters off of Nosara with Captain William on the flagship Wanderer.

In addition to Mr. Harris the Wanderer welcomed Joe Arriaga, Mark Scott, Brady Harris, Jimmy Erwin, and Ron Cox for three days of action. They started off inshore with some Bonitas and a nice Jack Crevelle, then on their second day headed offshore. Here is a shot of the new-look Wanderer taken from the Discoverer:

The Wanderer worked in tandem with the Discoverer to pluck some tasty Yellowfin Tunas from under this feeding school of porpoises:

On the third day they trolled offshore and a tasty Dorado:

Great work by our old friend Bill Harris and his posse!

Multi-time FishingNosara Hall of Famer Bill Harris brought another posse of Tampa-area anglers for a week of blistering blue water action.

They booked the Wanderer and Discoverer for three days in early September.

We are still awaiting full reports, but for now lets check out the highlights, primarlily this sweet Black Marlin release on the Wanderer:

Bill Harris himself added a nice Sailfish release early on the first day, which was certainly a sign of things to come:

Over on the Discoverer Eli Bedran KO’d a nice Sailfish:

There were lots of bending rods and crushed beer cans all week long. Great work by this fun-loving group!

August 30, 2014

August 30 was getaway day for Bill Harris and the posse, and they rounded out their trip with an excellent outing to Sailfish City.

After an early pair of Sailfish releases, Captain William discovered a big school of porpoises on the feed…guess what they were feasting on?

That’s right: Beefy Yellowfin Tunas taste good to all mammals, both primates and cetaceans.

All these feeder fish attracted a few more Sailfish, which Team Harris released with glee.

Great work by this class of Hall of Famers on an excellent week of fishing.

August 29, 2014

Team Harris had another outstanding day on the flagship Wanderer with a chocked-full scorecard of Sailfish. They got a pre-dawn start as Captain William put them out in front of a swarm of beautiful Sails:

These fish were fired up but this group of Tampa, FL anglers put the heat on them with stiff drag and fast reeling.

Great releases all around as the Wanderer continues to set the bar for great Costa Rican sportfishing.

August 28, 2014

Returning Hall of Famers Bill Harris, Brady Harris and Elie Bedran are back and they brought fellow anglers Scott Cox, Mark Scott and his dad Lee Scott along for this Costa Rica Fishing adventurer.

The mighty Wanderer was the chosen vessel as Captain William set out for Sailfish City.

First Mate Alex put out an irresistible spread that courted five Sailfish releases.

I meant ‘irresistible’ to Sailfish, buddy.

“Craig, wow what a fantastic day. 5 sails, 2 mahi.” Mark writes. “Great day, action was great plus 5 strikes and 2 billfish up on the teasers.
Dude what a day, I got to see my dad at 70 get to reel in his first billfish..priceless.”

“Thanks for giving us this opportunity.”

This group of Tampa Bay anglers also scored a couple of nice Dorados, highlighted by this deck sweeper:

These guys have two more full days of action planned and we are all stoked to see what they haul in next.
