The Wanderer enjoyed excellent fishing on January 20 with several Sailfish release backed up by big Dorados.

On January 20, Rick Crosby joined up with Captain Carlos on the Discoverer and they had a great time on the big battleship.
This excellent Sailfish release was backed up by several Dorados.
FishingNosara Hall of Famer and Northeast FishingNosara Representative Mark Cooney pulled off an amazing fishing feat with Captain David on January 18th…what, you’ve never battled a Sailfish on a 23-foot panga with a tiller-steered motor?
Then he grabbed a second Sailfish!
Backed up by lots of great Dorado, this is a picture-perfect day for the Adventurer!
The Discoverer did well on the 14th with angler Ed Evansen reporting an excellent variety of catches.
An early batch of Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas was capped off with a nice Sailfish release.
Captain Alex was deep in the battle on January 14 as client Kevin Poindexter threw down with an sweet Blue Marlin.
Mate Kevin estimated this beast at a little over 300lbs. Safe released alive and kicking as usual.
The big Marlin was the headliner, but it was supported by this excellent Sailfish release.
This high-flyer put on a nice show with lots of above-the-water action.
They finally outlasted this Sailfish, and brought home lots of nice photos of the fight.
This group rounded out their day with a nice Dorado and a sweet Yellowfin Tuna. Good thing, because it’s easy to work up a big appetite when catching all day long!
Adam LeMaster’s group was back on the Wanderer on the 13th and added to their scorebard with a sweet Sailfish release backed up with some excellent Dorados.
The other half of Adam LeMaster’s group was on the Discoverer on the 11th, and angler Roger Salinas managed to one-up the flagship with this feisty Blue Marlin release.
Excellent work by Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin to round up this monster…they also add a Sailfish release later in the trip:
Like the other group, they stocked up on Dorado filets.
However they upped the ante with multiple awesome Yellowfin Tunas on ice.
Great job by the big battleship!
Adam LeMaster’s group went out with Captain William on the Wanderer on January 11.
The flagship reports several nice Sailfish releases, backed up by several Dorados in the fishbox.
Excellent work by Captain William and the mighty Wanderer.
The Discoverer delivered the goods for angler Dean Givens and his crew on January 10. They ran the gamut of species, highlighted by this awesome Blue Marlin release.
That big monster was followed up by a nice Sailfish release.
The group also stocked up the refrigerator. This big Yellowfin Tuna was complimented by several nice Dorados.
Amazing all-around action on the big battleship!
The fish have been fired up during the month of January, with Captain Fico reporting lots of great action.
This high-flying Saifish is indicative of the type of monsters we’ve been finding very close to shore.
Of course these big billfish gotta eat to stay big, and we have been consistently pulling in the Dorados that make up their bait.
