Captain Antonio and Mate Raffa welcomed angler John Hohl on April 3 for a big day of Yellowfin Tuna action. The big one was well over 80lbs.

On the Explorer, Heidi and Jim O’Callaghan had a monster day on March 30.

This sweet Marlin release was augmented by a few nice Yellowfin Tunas for the dinner table.

Rob Scott’s kids released a quartet of Sailfish on March 29 aboard the Explorer.

The boys also roped in a bunch of tasty Yellowfin Tunas. Sushi, anyone?

Jeff Houltberg joined the barroom brawler on March 28 and his group released a pair of wonderful Sailfish.

On the 23rd, the Explorer welcomed anglers from the Elkins group for a great day of Yellowfin Tuna hunting.

Michael Teachout joined the Explorer on March 20 for a big day of Dorado action:

On the Explorer, angler Erik Lyndaker’s group piled up the Dorado filets during their March 19th trip.

They also nabbed some Yellowfin Tunas for variety:

Of course the barroom brawler also battled a pair of Sailfish; both safe released as always.

We always encourage folks to fish for full eight-hour days to maximize the chance of catching, but sometime people like Ben Merkley stick with the 5 hour half day and make fools of us all.

Captain Antonio and Mate Raffa scored an awesome Blue Marlin release, then added a Sailfish release:

Plus they scored a nice Dorado for the dinner table (lunch basket?) and were back on shore at noon. Incredible performance from the barroom brawler Explorer.

The Explorer and Steven Slack’s family had a blast on March 15 with Yellowfin Tuna an Dorado scores.

After refueling with fresh sushi, they battled and released this wonderful Sailfish:

It’s about that time for the BIG Yellowfin Tuna to show up, and on March 11 the Explorer and angler Chris Snider nabbed the first 100+lbs. Yella Fella of the year.

They also added a few nice Dorados to the haul.
