Javier Hernandez aka ‘Rey Robalo’ reeled in this excellent Snook in mid-January.


Local angler Pilito Montiel caught this amazing Snook at the Nosara River mouth.


Better still, he caught this monster on an old-school handlining rig.


Awesome catch!
Erick Burke had a fun day of catching at the Nosara River mouth on July 12.


“Killer trip last week,” wrote Erick. “Special thanks to Javier for showing me the ropes and mixing me in with the locals!”

Javier Hernandez aka Rey Robalo continued his reign with these awesome Snook scores on July 23.

His catches were more than a handful, with this Jack Crevelle (above) backed up with several monster Snooks.

Also local angler Casar Vargas pulled this monster Amberjack from the river mouth in mid-June.

Javier scored again with more great action at the Nosara River Mouth. This Snook and Jack score means filets and ceviche, respectively.



El Jefe Javier Hernandez scored an amazing 15.5kg (35.1 lbs.) Snook at the Nosara River Mouth on the 16th.


Rey Robalo is a conservationist and as such chose to release this monster alive.

It’s been a hot week of action at the Nosara River Mouth has the Snook action has picked up in a big way.





Javier led the way with this monster Robolo, caught on Father’s Day no less!


Our friend Leo (above) is certainly service fresh fish at Rancho Tico tonight!

The River Mouth provided her bounty all month long with more Snook, Ponpano, and Permit you can imagine.

Javier got a big Father’s Day gift from the Rio Nosara on June 19. This mega-Snook weighed in at 32lbs. and is truly a masterful catch.

Robert Noe joined Amy and Rick Thomas for a huge day of river fishing action on May 18.

They pulled this MASSIVE Corvina from the mouth of the Rio Nosara.


Looks like we’ll have plenty of ceviche coming this afternoon!
