Pat Faloona and his son booked the Wanderer for a morning of inshore fishing, and they report the first Yellowtail Snapper of the season on ice.

This brightly-colored morsel is a chef’s delight, yielding rich white meat that is a real treat. They also added some vareity to the refrigerator in the form is this small White Tuna.

Not scale-tippers by any stretch, but still these are some great-tasting catches…excellent work son!

Jed Duncan brought his family along for a quick morning 2.5 hour trip on the Wanderer. These quick hitters are a great way to get the family involved in fishing without committing to a full day on the water.

Captain William and First Mate Alex are wonderful with children and they made sure this little lady got herself a nice fishing experience.

Great work by the boat that rules Garza bay not just as a big billfish hunter, but also as the best family-friendly boat in the whole area.

A fine group of anglers came to us from the Blue Spirit Yoga Retreat desiring a taste of some blue water fishing. We split the party up between the Wanderer and Explorer with great rod-bendin’ action reported from both groups.

Check out this fine White Tuna from the Wanderer. Clearly this boat has the tools to satisfy any angler of any age!

Nice work by the big blue beauty!

The offshore action was slowed today by some rainy conditions, so the Wanderer stayed inside for most of the trip and dropped lines to the bottom.

Team Wenzel added a few morsels for the dinner table as well in the form of this small White Tuna and a tasty Ciero Mackerel.

The action was a bit slow, but the crew of the Wanderer keeps the mood light and fun no matter the scorecard. First Mate Alex showed Mr. Wenzel some of his signature knots, while Captain William found a small school of dolphins to the client’s delight.

Tracy Wenzel had a big Wahoo on the line, but ended up losing it after a few titanic leaps; The fact that she managed to hook the beast with spinning tackle is an accomplisment on its own, but clearly the fight was slanted in the fish’s favor on this encounter.

Still, it was a nice day of fishing with some filets to show for it. Team Wenzel is all smiles, showing their true Florida angling roots…let’s see if their patience will pay off as they have a few more trips on the schedule this week.

After a great Sailfish release offshore, Chuck Elzer’s family stayed inshore to see what they could get for the dinner table. Captain William’s keen instincts led them to the near-shore reef system where they pulled in a whole mess of White Tuna.

White Tuna are incredible rich and tasty, however they usually never grow over 10lbs. around here. One look at these specimens and it is clear that these are at least 15lbs. or more!

These fish came in with great consistency and fervor…even Captain David on the Explorer came by to check out the feeding frenzy (see backround of photo, left side)

Great start to the week for Chuck Elzer and his ladies!
