Gene and Betty Baker scored the fish-of-a-lifetime on the 13th with Captain Alex and Mate Kevin.
This big bad Black Marlin put on a show as she came into the boat, but Captain Alex’ boat handling skill kept the fight short and safe.
Excellent fish handling by Mate Kevin means that we’ll see this monster again in the future.
Later in the morning Betty brought home dinner with this excellent Yellowfin Tuna.
Ian Jones brought home the bacon with this excellent Yellowfin Tuna score with Captain Alex on April 11.
Looks pretty tasty!
Fresh off of the Ship of Fools victory, El Matador booked the Harvester for an afternoon of family fishing with his young son Noah.
The kid took the water splendidly and turned the crank on this Bonita.
A trip on the Harvester is a great way to get a kid started fishing on the right track.
The Russell group kept scoring as their April 5 date with the Harvester yielded this excellent Sailfish release:
Harris ‘El Matador’ Savin came to Nosara early to get warmed up for the Ship of Fools Tournament, and on his first day fishing Captain Alex found him a fine sparring partner:
This Blue Marlin was every bit of 300lbs. and gave us an advance glimpse at Harris’ angling prowess.
The Harvester welcome the Willis group for a great day of action on the 30th, and these tough-fishing Texans were ready to to battle with big billfish.
After the first safe release at 8:30am, a second monster came calling at 9:15am.
The final fish of the day came in the early afternoon. All safe releases and all big smiles!
Our new friend Will Stein and his family performed brilliantly on the mega panga Harvester, highlighted by this awesome Black Marlin release:
Captain Alex stayed on the hunt, and led the Stein party to more Billfish success.
Joe Babic snagged a bucket-list worthy Rooster Fish with Captain Alex on March 20.
Excellent work on this lovely Rooster Fish release:
