The Discoverer closed out the month with another pair of Sailfish releases. The consistency exhibited by Captain David and Mate Juan Carlos is remarkable as they always seem to find fish for their clients.

We saw the biggest Blue Jack Crevelle in memory earlier this week, but you want to see the biggest Queen Snapper ever?
BOOM!
The IGFA All-Tackle record for the Queen Snapper (Etelis oculatus) is 12.36 kg (27 lb 4 oz) by angler Bill Ismer in from South Florida, but this lady estimated around 20 lbs. is certainly a contender.
It’s unusual for us to get an email from a client mere minutes after they get back to shore, but Roy Jackson hit us up with the email titled: Awesome Day!
“4 sails and one 400 lb marlin. Got some great HD video of the marlin on the gopro. That was a long 45 minutes to land it.“

The rest of the day had strong action for Roy and the whole family.
The kids really put on a show with a Double Sailfish release, expertly coordinated by First Mate Alex.

Captain Fico has become a sort-of advance scout for the FishingNosara team; last month he uncovered a pocket of Cuberas that the team stayed on for a few days, plus he scored an early-season Yellowfin Tuna.
Now he has popped the lid of the first can of Wahoo we’ve seen in a few months. Nice work by the trailblazing Adventurer.
The Wanderer countered with a 400lbs. Marlin for client Roy Jackson.
They also backed it up with 4 Sailfish releases. All in a days work for the baddest boat in Garza!

The Thomas Martin group added another pair of Rooster Fish releases to their scorecard on March 25.
Great catch on the battleship Discoverer! This awesome Blue Marlin release is truly the fish of a lifetime.

This 30lbs. Rooster Fish release got things going early, then was followed up with this gigantic Cubera Snapper:
Later in the trip they repeated with a Rooster Fish release followed up with another Cubera.
The reefs have been fertile all month, but rarely do we get two massive Rooster Fish releases AND two Cubera Snappers.
As an added delicacy, check out this Blue Jack Crevelle…this is a rare catch for our area and is the first of the year for the whole team.
