Great day of family fishing on the Adventurer with Captain Carlos on February 13. Check out this brightly colored Jack Crevelle:
Nice work fellas!
Captain Carlos has struck again on the Adventurer! The 23-foot switchblade performed masterfully with this excellent Sailfish release:
The group stayed busy all day with a few White Tunas and Bonitas providing the rod-bending action.
Nice work by the Adventurer.
Harris Savin returned to the Adventurer for another solo mission deep behind the enemy lines of the local blue water fish population.
They targeted trolling species and were rewarded with this whopping 30+ lbs. Wahoo.
Captain Carlos and Harris polished off the sushi just in time to add three tasty White Tunas to the fishbox.
They added a big Dorado to their collected later in the trip, bringing to a close another great fishin’ mission!
Captain Carlos returned to the blue water on February 10 and set the Adventurer right in front of a hunting pair of big Dorados.
Our custom Poseidon Rods are holding up great, even when fighting such big fish on spinning tackle.
Great filets on the way, courtesy of the 23-foot razor blade.
The Adventurer welcomed Jose Luis Barzuna on February 9 and this guy was on the fish early and often.
This small fish were a nice icebreaker, but the true fish-of-a-lifetime came calling in the afternoon:
Wow! That is a grande Sailfish even by Costa Rica standards. Estimated by Captain Carlos at over 150lbs., this monster was safely released as usual.
Amazing action from the awesome Adventurer!
Harris Savin took the Adventurer offshore today and was rewarded with a fine Pacific Sailfish release. Seeing the mountains less than 5 miles from shore reminds us that the 1600 ft ledge is not out of reach for the 23-foot switchblade.
This excellent release was followed up a pair of 25lbs. Dorados for the dinner table.
The final score of the day was this magnificent Rooster fish release:
Great action on just a half day trip…it’s what we have come to expect from Captain Carlos and the Adventurer.
Ben James and Captain Carlos released the biggest Rooster Fish of the year on board the Adventurer on February 3.
We have full video of the battle with this monster, and will have it all edited and posted in due time. Estimated at 70+lbs., this beast was revived and released; we hope to see him again soon.
Sonny Strohl and his buddies turned in an excellent day of action with Captain Carlos on the Adventurer. They stayed close to shore and scored a nice Dorado and a few tasty Yellowfin Tunas.
Pretty sweet filets on ice for Sonny and the boys, thanks to the 23-foot pocket knife.
Scott Wright enlisted Captain Carlos of the Adventurer for a half-day trip to the blue water break and their expeditionary spirit was rewarded with this thick Dorado.
Excellent dining tonight for this couple!
Michael Heilman caught some monsters on board the Adventurer today. This Cubera Snapper is a big boy!
They also got a pair of Dorados including this MASSIVE Mahi:
That’s definately two-armloads of fish for this fella!
