Another excellent Dorado from the Adventurer:
Captain Carlos has the little devil dialed in and client John Hicks reaped the rewards in the form of this nice 30lbs. Dorado. That’s some fine eatin’ fish right there!

Another excellent Dorado from the Adventurer:
Captain Carlos has the little devil dialed in and client John Hicks reaped the rewards in the form of this nice 30lbs. Dorado. That’s some fine eatin’ fish right there!
John Fitzgibbon and Alisha Jernack joined Captain Carlos on the 23-foot Adventurer for a sunset fishing trip and scored on a few nice fish. Take a look at these monsters harvested in just 2.5 short hours:
This 30lbs. Cubera Snapper will make for some excellent filets, and the Cierro Mackeral (below) is unquestionably he best sushi/ceviche fare in the area. That’s an impressive trip through the express lane at the fish market.
Captain Carlos had a wonderful new client visit the Adventurer for a half day inshore assault and once again the straight razor showed no fear in the face of a reef-dwelling monster.
Jean Pierre Sturtevent showed his strong Texas angling abilities and lassoed this 35lbs. Cubera Snapper. What a wonderful catch, especially so close to shore!
Bruce Birkett ain’t scared of some hardcore fishing action, and he proved that by signing up Captain Carlos and the Adventurer for five straight day of action. On their first excursion Mr. Birkett slayed the some big Dorados. Check out the king of the crop:
We are excited for Bruce’s good action so far and are pumped up to see what he can make happen on the 23′ Panga this week. Stay tuned!
Great catch on the Adventurer today! Captain Carlos manuvered the 23′ panga and it’s three anglers from the Will Meeker group about a mile from shore and found this massive Amberjack lurking in the depths.
Looks like a great time was had by all as once again Captain Carlos delivers for his clients.
Gary Stabb and his son took a quick 2.5 hour spin on the Adventurer today and came home with a very nice Spanish Mackeral and a tasty permit to boot. That’s a killer combo for sushi, filets, or even ceviche.
If these guys don’t know how lucky they got with these fish it’s because they haven’t made it to the dinner table yet. Excellent work by the Stabb boys and Captain Carlos of the tremendous Adventurer.
Captain Carlos of the Adventurer reports a 30lbs Cubera Snapper and three small Dorados in the fishbox for clients the Okers group. This Cuberra fought like a much bigger fish, but clearly everyone is all smiles with this beast in the box.
Great fun and great action for these anglers on the powerful pocket knife Adventurer!
Spread the word to the local billfish popluation…the Adventurer has struck again! Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine that a 23 foot panga with tiller steering would stand up to the mighty Pacific Sailfish that populate our stretch of water, but the fearless Captain Carlos proved that last month’s sailfish release with Josh Walker was no fluke.
What a beast! Hats off to Captain Carlos for coordinating the strike, fight, and most importantly safe release of this majestic marine monster.
The angler for this release was from Marta Baez’ family and you can see from these excellent photos that this legendary Sailfish release was only part of their unforgettable Costa Rican vacation.
The absolutely wore it out in Nosara: ziplines, kayaks, horses, and of course one of the most memorable Sailfish releases of the season.
Pura Vida to the Baez Family!
Fresh sushi today for client Matt Lukof and his group on the Adventurer. Captain Carlos has the little 23-foot straight razor sharpened to a finely honed edge and on this trip sliced and diced his way to a full fishbox.
Amanda got thing rolling with this excellent Jack Crevelle, and if you notice in the background Matt a fish on the line as well. By trip’s end they had caught two Yellowfin Tunas, a Barbero Snapper and 7 Bonitos. That is fantastic action for just a 5 hour trip.
Great work Captain Carlos and the devastatingly diminutive Adventurer.
Kind of slow action on the Adventurer today. Captain Carlos keep the rods bending for client Warren, but all they caught were seven non-edible Bonitas. While this is better than striking out, it certainly would’ve been nice to bring home some filets.
