The Adventurer got the year off to a big start with Captain David reporting a quartet of Dorados scored on the 7th.

Great to see such big monsters this close to shore.
Jacksonville, FL anglers Ben Dode and Katy Schneider celebrated their honeymoon by fishing in Costa Rica, and the Discoverer is proud to report several floor-sweeping Dorados came to the party.

The big battleship stayed on the fish all day long and ended up with quite a haul with nine Dorados on the scorecard.

Great work by Captain Carlos and the Discoverer!
Captain Alex kicked off his season with John Purdy, John Van Diver, Mike Pickelsimer and Dale McElroy reporting eleven sweet Dorados on ice.

The Harvester has been itching for action, and found what they were looking for as these monsters topped out at 60lbs.

They caught so many that Captain Alex chose to release this big one so as not to hurt the fish stock.
Great work by Captain Alex and the Harvester!
The Discoverer got the season rolling on November 5th with Andrew Walter and his family scoring big Dorados on a morning half day.

They boated seven total Dorados in just five hours on the water.

This is a great sign for the 2019 season for the big battleship.
Jacksonville firefighter Brian Stafford brought a big group of fun-loving North Florida anglers for a great week of action in late October.

Big Dorados and big smiles were the order of the day.

Great start to the season for the mighty flagship Wanderer!

The flooding in Nosara has been challenging, but the Ticos are working together and helping each other out.

Here is the 23-foot Adventurer with Capitan Alex, Antonio, and NPR staff Jeni and others getting some local kids to high ground.
The waters have since receded and things are getting back to normal.
The Discoverer continues to soldier on during the month of September. On the 19th, the big battleship scored Dorados and Yellowfin Tuna.

Great work by Captain Carlos and the unstoppable Discoverer!
Jeroen Nelis specifically wanted to target Sailfish, and although we can only take what the ocean gives us, on September 18 the ocean was in a giving mood and provided this angler with an excellent Sailfish release.

This great trophy release was backed up by some nice Dorados for the dinner table.

Great work by Captain Fico and the Explorer!
Our friend Alicia Blackledge returned to Nosara for the second year in a row to enjoy some blue water fishing during the so-called “off season”.

Captain Fico delivered the goods with big Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.

Geaux Team Blackledge!

On August 28th the Discoverer found a great way to sweep the decks:

This monster was one of two Dorados caught during this trip, which also featured a nice Sailfish release.
