Captain Fico reports a major Marlin release on June 13 with client James Fenn on the Explorer. Check out this monster:
Mike Tuzio had a great day on the Explorer with Captain Fico reporting a fantastic Sailfish release.
“I just wanted to drop a line and tell you that we had an excellent time,” wrote Mike.
“We had one great sailfish release and another one threw the hook unfortunately but they guys did everything they could to put us on fish and we’re both a great help.”
The Explorer started the month of June with a fantastic run of great catches. The Sailfish were thick offshore and the Super Panga was all over them.
Later in the week Captain Fico stayed inshore and filled the fish box with tasty filets of Dorado and Cubera Snapper.
While inshore, the legendary Explorer also scored several bucket-list caliber Rooster Fish releases.
Great work by the 26-foot barroom brawler!
The super panga Explorer started the month of June on an absolute tear with big numbers of Sailfish releases.
When the Sails are piled up this thick, the challenge isn’t to catch them; it’s releasing them quickly so we can catch some more!
After a few solo releases to get started, Captain Fico and Mate Elias pulled off this sweet Double Sailfish release!
The hits kept coming the next day with several more releases on the scorecard.
The action stayed strong throughout the week, highlighted by this second Double release:
The Explorer is more than just an offshore troller, proven by these excellent Rooster fish scores near-to-shore.
The Explorer brought the house down with a bevy of Sailfish releases with Robert Noe, Amy Thomas, and Rick Thomas on May 19.
Captain Fico rode out to Sailfish city and found that these fellas were fired-up and ready to feed.
The bites came early and often for this group of Florida anglers.
All this action came on just a half day of fishing, meaning this fun-loving group was back on shore in time to enjoy all that Nosara has to offer.
Pretty sweet way to start a day!
Amy and Rick Thomas started their fishing adventurer on the super panga Explorer. Captain Fico followed the spinning dolphins to a nice pot of Yellowfin Tuna.
They casted topwater plugs at these tasty morsels and pulled a few nice ones on board.
Great start to the week for the Thomas family!
The Explorer nabbed this massive Ponpano on the 14th, perfect for ceviche back on shore.
They also released several nice Sailfish.
Great work by Captain Fico!
The Super Panga is on an unstoppable tear with more great Sailfish releases reported.
The Explorer also released a bucket-list caliber Rooster fish.
Proof again that you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Costa Rica!
