Remember when we said that the Wanderer finally got refitted with our new custom Poseidon Rods?
Well they showed up just in time for client Brad Bentley and his group to fight a nice Blue Marlin.
The Wanderer is dialed-in this season and with these new canes in the quiver their is no stopping the mighty flagship!
The Wanderer stayed inshore withย Gene Pleasants today which presented the perfect opportunity to break in our new custom casting rods from Poseidon Fishing.
We worked closely with Harold Eberhardy of this West Palm Beach, FL rod builder to get the exact specs that fishing in this harsh environment demands. From the all metal butts to the expanded casting eyes, Harold and the boys really hit it out of the park on these rods, even down to the inlaid FishingNosara logo.
Gene’s group put the rods though their paces early and often, especially pulling in this pair of 40lbs. Amberjacks.
Later they caught a fine-looking Horse-eyed Jack, though decided to release it after a quick picture.
Between the big Dorados from January 27 and the Amberjacks from earlier in the day, they figured enough was enough in the meat department.ย
