On December 4, Greg Patts and Captain Fico slayed some dragons on board the Explorer.







These nice Sailfish releases were backed up by a nice handful of tasty Yellowfin Tunas.

Thomas Everett’s family joined Captain Alex for three full days of action, and Day 1 set the tone with an awesome Sailfish release.






A second Sailfish release was hot on the heels of the first, with the Harvester nimbly outmaneuvering the proud pelagic.



These big Texans worked up a big appetite, so fortunately they nagged this big Dorado for the dinner table.




Shane Sheltra scored a sweet Sailfish release on December 3 with the big battleship Discoverer.

Tampa angler Dan Rosensteel had a nice day on the 27th with the Discoverer reporting a nice Sailfish release early in the trip.

Then in the afternoon, the keen-eyed Captain Carlos spotted a piece of floating debris, possibly a detached FAD. They found a nice ecosystem of Dorados has sprouted up underneath the floating shade.




Captain Carlos’ ingenuity was on display for this fun trip.
Tambi Katieb treated her boys to a big fishing party on board the Harvester on November 25. The guest of honor was this monstrous Sailfish.







Snacks for the party were provided by a batch of fat Yellowfin Tunas.








The boys even pulled off a double Yellowfin Tuna hook-up and catch.

The Adventurer has been on a tear in the first month of the season, and Captain David’s performance on the 21st was truly exceptional.


The 23-foot inshore assassin has released only a few Sailfish in her 8 year career. To add to the scorecard was this epic Rooster Fish.


For the dinner table they scored a nice Dorado.

Proof again that you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Costa Rica.
Arkansas angler David Gibbons followed up with another Marlin release on November 21 with Captain Carlos on the Discoverer.


They also nagged a two super Sailfish releases.



This group didn’t return to shore empty handed; after the billfish releases they added a Dorado for the dinner table.

The second wave of Team Mayor performed brilliantly on November 10 with Captain Carlos on the Discoverer. A super Sailfish release led off the proceedings.

The followed up with nice catches of Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna.


Kelly Broussard got tied into a superior Salifish release on November 9 with Captain Alex.




Excellent fish handling by Mate Wilson to ensure the safe live release of this beauty.
