Everyone know the the Hernández family is synonomous with FishingNosara. That’s why is was a great honor to welcome Maria Montiel Hernández for a fun fishing vactaion in late January.
Over on the Explorer, Maria nabbed a nice Yellowfin Tuna.
She also had fun at the River Mouth as Javier aka Maria’s cousin aka Rey Robalo brought two more Snooks under his domain.

The bulk of the fleet stayed inshore on Janaury 16, but the Wanderer lived up to her handle as Captain William wanted to check the offshore conditions.
The fish were soft-biting, but the Master Captain managed to coax a few nice Yellowfin Tunas into the spread.
Great job by Captain William.
Dean Hayes’ group split up between the Discoverer and Wanderer on the 15th.
Over on the big battleship theiy scored nice Sailfish releases augmented by tasty Yellowfin Tunas.
Dean sent us this nice email after the trips: “We had great offshore trips. We boated 8 sails in the two days we went offshore! Your captains and mates were all very efficient and hospitable. Thanks for a great experience!!”
Captain Carlos ran a quick 2.5 hour sunset trip on the 14th, and in that short time nabbed a nice Yellowfin Tuna.
The Explorer welcomed Sharon Peach for an afternoon 5hr trip on January 7. They caught lots of fish and a beautiful sunset.
These Sailfish release photos capture a great time for Team Peach, while these Yellowfin Tunas will keep the group full.
Our great friend John Egan joined Captain Carlos for a day of offshore action on January 5th.
He cut a wide swath; in addition to this big Sailfish release, he scored some meat thanks to this Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado.
Captain David has the Adventurer dialed-in and is working the reefs with masterful precision.
Our good friend Dave Freeman scored a brace of Yellowfin Tunas, then added on with a beautiful Cubera Snapper release.
We look forward to seeing this big red Buick again in the future.
Our great friend Travis Suit joined the Wanderer on January 2 and brought the whole family also to experience fishing in Costa Rica.
The kids took control of the reels and brought home dinner in the form of a few nice Yellowfin Tunas.
Nice work by Master Captain William on the flagship Wanderer.
The Tri-Generational Scotty Moore group finished off their great fishing vacation with a bountiful trip on January 2.
Captain Alex reports that the fish of the day with this monster Dorado.
They also nagged a nice Yellowfin Tuna to add some variety to the fish bag.
Great work by the mega panga Harvester!
Three generations of Scotty Moore’s family hit the water on the 28th for their first day of fishing in Costa Rica. Captain Alex and the Harvester were ready to rock and Team Moore stayed on the bite all day.
They scored multiple excellent Yellowfin Tunas. I think they got next year’s Christmas card ready to go!
Earlier in the day they boated a nice Dorado, also a tasty filet for the dinner table.
