Dan Johnson of Hatteras, NC took his two friends Antonio Carrillo and Aneudy Hernandez Ortiz on the Wanderer.
They had an excellent day with a Sailfish release backed up with two Dorados and four Yellowfin Tunas.
Tannis James signed up the Discoverer for a full day of fish-fighting.
This sweet Sailfish releases was the highlight of the day that also included a BIG Dorado and a nice Yellowfin Tuna.
The Wanderer got rolling in early January with a nice swath of Yellowfin Tuna catches.
Captain Carlos got the year started on the right track with several nice Yellowfin Tuna scores with Henry Zervas’ group.
Master Captain William led the charge on December 28th. Joined by members of the John Hislop group, the Wanderer tracked down a fast-moving school of Yellowfin Tunas (somewhat unusual for this time of year).
You can see in the photos that the Master Captain called in the rest of the local boats to work this school of fish; sharing is caring!
Captain Wilson reported four Yellowfin Tunas and a nice Sailfish release on December 28 for John Hislop’s group.
The Sailfish have been a little scarce recently, but hopefully this influx of Yellowfin Tuna to the feeding chain will coax the Sailfish back into the action.
John Hislop’s family continued their catching ways on December 28 with Captain Carlos reporting nice Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna scores.
Captain David struck gold (or, Yellow) on the 28th with a pair of tasty Yellowfin Tunas.
It’s very encouraging to see Yella Fellas of this size so close to shore.
John Hislop’s family got off to a quick start on the 26th with Master Captain William reporting great Dorado action with a nice Yellowfin Tuna sprinkled in.
It’s always a treat to see young anglers scored nice fish.
