Avid outdoorsman Juan Levesque returned for a bout of blue water fishing on August 17.
The Explorer found that MONSTER Dorado were all over the place and took advantage of these late-season beauties.
The big battleship Discoverer scored a few nice Yellowfin Tunas on the 16th with angler John Barry.
Here’s what John had to say after the trip: “We had a fantastic trip these guys are true professionals – I brought my mom along with me who did not want to fish and they communicated with me before and after the trip to ensure she had a good time. She had a fanatics time, even ended up in the battle chair fighting a tuna I bet I could even get her to get out again. We caught a bunch of Yellowfin + fought a sailfish we just lost.”
The next day, Team Wasp repeated their success with even more BIG Yellowfin Tunas.
Great work by the barroom brawler Explorer.
On August 13, Avarie Wasp and her family enjoyed a great first day of action on the Explorer.
Big Yellowfin Tunas were the order of the day, and Captain Antonio reports multiple great catches.
Captain Wilson was on fire in mid-August…he released another MONSTER Marlin with angler Cliff Quick on the 11th.
Mr. Quick also came home with filets, courtesy of this nice Dorado:
The Explorer nabbed a sweet Sailfish release on the 11th with David Sohm’s group.
On August 11, Stephan Badstieber and his posse finished up a great week of fishing with a quick trip on the Adventurer.
They stayed near-shore and plumbed the bottoms for a small White Tuna and a nice Red Snapper.
Captain Wilson delivered the fish of a lifetime on August 10 for Susan Patterson’s group . The Harvester reports this excellent Blue Marlin release.
Brian Deutsch and his family continued to catch Yellowfin Tuna on August 9. The Wanderer led the pack for a fun day of action; check out the battleship Discoverer in the background of Brian’s fight:
Great to see the whole family get multiple chances to fight big fish.
Central Florida angler Mark Shugg stepped up the Harvester on August 9 and boat a MONSTER Dorado:
Young Mr. Shugg scored a ‘small’ Dorado, but it’s only small compared to the first fish.
This Wahoo is legitimately small (for us, at least) but will filet up into a pair of tasty white-meat steak all the same.
