Javier Hernandez aka ‘Rey Robalo’ reeled in this excellent Snook in mid-January.

Jeff Capen made history on the Adventurer on January 15 with the SECOND EVER Marlin release on the panga.

This Blue Marlin release is a magnificent achievement on any boat, let alone the sneaky switchblade.

They also nabbed a few nice Dorados for the dinner table.

Mary Jane Shanklin was back in action on the 15th, and this time they added to their Dorado scored from early in the week with this excellent Striped Marlin release.

They also scored big on Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.

Amazing work by the mega panga!
The Discoverer did well on the 14th with angler Ed Evansen reporting an excellent variety of catches.

An early batch of Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas was capped off with a nice Sailfish release.

Captain Alex was deep in the battle on January 14 as client Kevin Poindexter threw down with an sweet Blue Marlin.

Mate Kevin estimated this beast at a little over 300lbs. Safe released alive and kicking as usual.

The big Marlin was the headliner, but it was supported by this excellent Sailfish release.

This high-flyer put on a nice show with lots of above-the-water action.

They finally outlasted this Sailfish, and brought home lots of nice photos of the fight.

This group rounded out their day with a nice Dorado and a sweet Yellowfin Tuna. Good thing, because it’s easy to work up a big appetite when catching all day long!

Adam LeMaster’s group was back on the Wanderer on the 13th and added to their scorebard with a sweet Sailfish release backed up with some excellent Dorados.

The Harvester welcomed FishingNosara Hall of Famer and Northeast FishingNosara Representative Mark Cooney for an excellent day of catching on the 12th.
BIG Yellowfin Tunas put the mega panga (and her tackle) to the test. Look at this rod-snapping catch:

The Harvester‘s “Never Surrender” attitude was on display at this 40+lbs. Yellowfin managed to break a rod, but not break the mega panga’s spirit.

Later in the day the fish got bigger for Team Cooney.

With tons of Yellowfin Tuna on ice, the ocean changed it up and provided lovely Dorado scores.

Fantastic work by Captain Alex and the Harvester!
The other half of Adam LeMaster’s group was on the Discoverer on the 11th, and angler Roger Salinas managed to one-up the flagship with this feisty Blue Marlin release.

Excellent work by Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin to round up this monster…they also add a Sailfish release later in the trip:

Like the other group, they stocked up on Dorado filets.

However they upped the ante with multiple awesome Yellowfin Tunas on ice.

Great job by the big battleship!
Adam LeMaster’s group went out with Captain William on the Wanderer on January 11.

The flagship reports several nice Sailfish releases, backed up by several Dorados in the fishbox.

Excellent work by Captain William and the mighty Wanderer.
On January 11 Mary Jane Shanklin joined Captain Alex for a fun day of fish catching. Big Dorados were the order of the day, and the Harvester was ready to fill up the filet box.

This big monster was followed-up with another great monster.
