It’s the rainy season right now, but that didn’t stop Ron Lard and his team of Virginia-based anglers from braving the elements for three days, conquering a wide variety of inshore species.
Captain Alex and Mate Kevin performed fearlessly in the face of the rain, guaranteeing a fun, safe, productive run of trips.
Here’s what Mr. Lard wrote in an email:
Craig,
“Just wanted to let you know that my group and I (weather not withstanding) had a great time in Nosara. The housing was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Your staff was pleasant and took very good care off us.”
“Although the weather didn’t cooperate with our stay, Cpt. Alex and Kevin managed to get us out the three days and found fish.”
“We all highly recommend your company.”
Regards,
Ron Lard
We had the great honor to welcome Eduardono‘s Nicholas Olarte for a day on the Harvester, the boat he was instrumental in bringing into existence.
Last time we saw Nick was at the Miami Boat Show (above) where we celebrated the completion of the Harvester and began laying the groundwork for the new Fishtastic.
Much better tan this time around!
Nicholas bested this sweet Rooster Fish, plus got a rare face-to-face encounter with this creepy Octopus:
Awesome to see the architect of the Eduardono Covina Hull catching fish on the prototypical Mega Panga Harvester!
Mike Ford followed up their great day of inshore action with a little trip offshore.
Captain Alex put them on the fish and they scored an excellent Sailfish release.
Great all around performance from the Mega Panga!
The filets were flying for client Mike Ford on board the Harvester on September 6.
This big Dorado got things going, then was followed up by this beefy Yellowfin Tuna:
Great work by Captain Alex, a man who doesn’t know the meaning of ‘off season’!
The Explorer welcomed Patrick Wiles for a fun day of offshore action which yielded a pair of sweet Sailfish releases.
This high-flyer was no match for the barroom brawler!
Great work on these billfish releases by Captain Fico and Mate Elias, who are still fishing hard in this so-called ‘off season’
Our new friend Geoffrey Scotty chose the Explorer for a 5 hour inshore session and was rewarded with a bucket list caliber Rooster fish:
Later he released a smaller but equally beautiful Rooster Fish, and nabbed a big Amberjack for the fishbox.
Georgia-based angler Dick Griffis enjoyed his trip with Captain Alex on the 3rd, highlighted by this perfect sized Yellowfin Tuna.
Estimated around 35lbs., the filets yielded by this Yella Fella are tight and tasty. Great work by the mega panga Harvester.
Our old buddy Hubble Keller overcame obstacles this week to make his fishing dreams come true.
He had members of his posse cancel on him last minutes, plus his son caught a little bug that left him on the sidelines briefly.
But these Florida anglers weren’t going down without a fight, and on their last day in town they lit up the scorecard with five super Sailfish releases.
Fantastic work by this legendary angler.
