Nice catch by the barroom brawler!
Captain David continued his great inshore fishing with great action on March 17.
This big Amberjack was the monster of the trip, which also included this big Black Tuna:
Captain Carlos kept the good times rolling with client Deena Ewert scoring several sweet Sailfish releases.
Later in the day the Discoverer moved inshore and scored this whopping Amberjack:
Remember that Pacific Amberjacks are good to eat (unlike their Atlantic brethren) and I’d bet that some tasty ceviche is in Deena’s future.
Ben Evans and Joe Driscoll returned to the Wanderer on the 12th with another great fantastic fishing performance.
They stayed inshore this time and loaded the fish box with gigantic Amberjacks.
Beware of these masked bandits!
They also hooked up a small Shark, released without incident.
On their final day of fishing, they returned to Sailfish City and ended their week with this nice Sailfish release.
Local legend Alban Rodriguez joined Captain David on the Adventurer and KO’d a pair of big Amberjacks:
The Wanderer pulled double-duty on December 26 with two half-days scheduled with two sets of clients.
First up was Chris Carroll who opted to stay near-shore in the morning.
A pair of Rooster fish releases were the highlight of the morning, with a beefy Amberjack on ice to round out the scorecard:
The inshore madness continued on April 2 as the flagship pulled myriad species of fish up from the shallow reefs.
Fresh of his great river mouth scores of Snook, client Mike Loughrey and his group scored Jack Crevelles, Amberjack, and the elusive Blue Jack Crevelles.
With four experienced anglers on deck, First Mate Alex got the rare opportunity to see how the client’s usually feel…that is, sitting back and watching some pro anglers fill the fishbox:
The Explorer closed out the month on a strong run of Sailfish releases.
The more trips that Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin run, the more they mark-up the scorecard with Sailfish releases.
Clearly these guys are sharpening their skills to a razor’s edge.
There was also lots of other species to brag about on the Super Panga. Check out these beastly Rooster fish releases:
Captain Carlos also reports a good array of Dorado and Amberjack.
The Adventurer scored an Amberjack for the record books on March 15. Look at the girth on this monster:
We say it all the time, you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Nosara! Great work by Captain Fico and the switchblade Adventurer.
Jacksonville’s own Hank Duckworth joined the mighty Wanderer for a half day trip, and like all our Northeast Florida anglers he tore it up on the formerly Mayport-flagged vessel.
They started off inshore with this excellent Amberjack:
Then Captain William headed to Sailfish City and Hank was ready to crank in a monster:
They added two more Sailfish near the end of the five hour trip.
Safe releases by First Mate Alex was the perfect end to a great trip for Hank Duckworth.
