The Discoverer delivered Dorado for client Kelly Borgeois on January 16. Not bad for just a half day fishing!

The Discoverer put together a wonderful trip of trips for Paul and Jon Worthington, scoring a bevy of big Dorados and scoring some sweet Sailfish snatches.

Normally we fixate on the big billfish releases, but the real highlight was the boatload of Doardos that Team Worthington put in the fishboxes.

Look at the girth on these monsters!

Great work by the big battleship Discoverer!

Paul Worthington had another huge day of blue water action on the 12th with a sweet Sailfish release followed up with four big Dorados.

This monster was safe released after the picture, but the same can’t be said for these tasty green beefcakes:

Awesome job by Captain Carlos and the big bad Discoverer!

Big day on the battleship Discoverer for our good friend Paul Worthington.

We’ve endured a few days of offshore winds which forced out clients to stay inshore, but now that the winds have died down the blue water bite has fired up.

Look at this wonderful Sailfish release, flawlessly executed by Mate Juan Carlos:

Texas anglers Mike Cotton, David Moss, and Leah Merryfield finished up the year on the Discoverer with a day chock full of great blue water action.

The big catch of the day was this sweet Blue Marlin release by Mr. Moss.

After the safe release Captain Carlos discovered a hungry band of big Dorados. Check out this monster scored by Mike Cotton:

John Bottko enlisted the Discoverer for a full day on Christmas and brought the kids along for the trip to the meat market.

The battleship delivered four big tasty Dorados, then followed up with these small Wahoos, also called Wee-hoos:

Great work by Captain Carlos!
FishingNosara participated in the 5th Annual Dreamstarter Billfish Invitational from December 7-10. This tournament is run by Mr. Brian Neal and our friends at Wanderlust Reality, and was a wonderful experience for all involved.

This is our first time entering this tournament, and it is with great pride that we announce that we brought home the hardware!

From the tournament website: “Dreamstarter Billfish Invitational Tournament would like to congratulate the Wanderer and Discoverer for finishing tied for 1st place in our tournament. Both boats fish under the flagship of FishingNosara and both teams agreed to stick with a tie. Congratulations to both teams!”

FishingNosara Hall of Famer Bob Pease joined Captain William on the Wanderer and scored two Sailfish and a Marlin over the two days of tournament fishing:

Meanwhile, the Discoverer welcomed Hall of Famer Eric Dixon and they also nabbed a Marlin backed-up with two Sailfish:

Patrick J. Puentes of New Mexico found billfish success with Captain Carlos on December 3. This sweet Sailfish release was the highlight of the trip.

They also put some tasty Dorado filets on ice.

All in a days’ work for the big bad battleship and these anglers from the Land of Enchantment.
The Discoverer welcomed aboard Catie Wilson and her group for a lovely day of meat-fish conquests.

They nabbed two Yellowfin Tunas and two Dorado, all with good size to them. Great work by Captain Carlos on the battleship…later in the week the Battleship nabbed these tasty filets:

The Discoverer is back in action and nabbed this lone Sailfish on November 12.

We’ve been battling the Super-Moon Blues as the bites seems really slow during this phase; however we are anticipating big action once the moon recedes.
