Jackie Powell’s group returned to the Discoverer on the 15th and had to endure some slower action than they had earlier this week.

Still they scored a pair of nice Sailfish. Nice persistence by Captain Carlos to succeed on a slow bite.

The battleship Discoverer kept the coals burning with Jackie Powell’s group on February 13. Check out this awesome Blue Marlin:

The Discoverer snared an early morning Sailfish on the 12th with client Marselo Barriga.

Nice way to start a day!

The Discoverer scored big again on February 8 with four Sailfish released on the trip for client Don Sailors:

Another fantastic outing by Captain Carlos and Mate Juan Carlos on the big blue battleship.

Captain Carlos is an unstoppable force on the blue water. This trio of Sailfish releases on a 5 hour half day is more proof of his prowess.

Great fish handling by Mate Juan Carlos is the perfect compliment to Captain Carlos’ hunting skills.

Captain Carlos kept the good times rolling with client Deena Ewert scoring several sweet Sailfish releases.

Later in the day the Discoverer moved inshore and scored this whopping Amberjack:

Remember that Pacific Amberjacks are good to eat (unlike their Atlantic brethren) and I’d bet that some tasty ceviche is in Deena’s future.

Rich Lippo continued his hot week of fishing with a boatload of Sailfish releases with Captain Carlos and Mate Juan Carlos.
