Captain Alex and the Harvester barreled into late-August with a fishing fury unmatched by any other panga boat in the world.
Multiple Yellowfin Tunas and a big Dorado were brought on board early in the trip, followed up by several sweet Sailfish releases.
The Discoverer scored big in late August, with the battleship reporting nice Sailfish releases.
They also nabbed this big Dorado for the dinner table.
Mark Merris and the Harvester started off with a tasty Dorado on August 17.
Then they pulled off a sweet Sailfish release.
Great work by this New Jersey angler!
Dan Johnson brought along Delaney Johnson, Anthony Jocxer, and Manuel Obando for great day of rod-bending action on August 16.
The Wanderer was well up to the task to best these blue water beauties.
They cleaned up on Dorados and Yellowfin Tuna, with all anglers getting a crack at these tasty meat fish.
Delaney kept watch as Captain William set the mighty flagship upon a swarm of sweet Sailfish.
Great work by the mighty Wanderer.
Mike Murphy of Jon Matula’s posse kept up the great fishing with a fun day of action on August 15 with the Discoverer. This highlight was this awesome Marlin release.
They also added to the world-class billfish release with these tasty Dorados:

Team Humprey finished up their week in Nosara with a breathtaking NINE Sailfish release day on the Harvester on August 15.
The mega panga was a busy place; how could it not be with more than one Sailfish release per hour?
Clearly the action hit a peak for this group of South Florida anglers.
Of course all nine fish were released safely with no problems.
In addition to the Sailfish releases, the crew also scored a icebox full of nice Dorados.

“My group who joined me on this journey all work for a fishing charter company (Lady Pamela 2 Fishing Charters) in South Florida. We are avid fishermen who work on the water catching fish, everyday. We caught everything from 75lb tuna to 15lb dorados out of our three trips, but the last day was by far an incredible experience. “We also did a horse back ride with Eduardo in the breath taking atmosphere that was surrounded by mountains, monkeys, waterfalls, flowers, incredible trees… (I could keep going) an we enjoyed every second of it! He matched all our personalities with each horse! They were well trained and taken care of. Eduardo was so sweet!! He told us all kinds of interesting facts about the jungle and the surrounding river. We rode up to his mothers house, where we were greeted with star fruit water, cold mountain water, and mouth watering sliced fruit. He showed us his gorgeous property and kept the interesting info about his culture an land going the whole time.”
“We then rode off again to several different waterfalls where we got to get wet with the horses and take awesome pictures. It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. We then traveled back to his mamas house, where we had hands down the best meal we ate our entire trip. Fresh green salad with the best avacado you’ll ever eat. Chicken that was clearly prepared that morning, home made potato chips, rice and beans… uh I want more just thinking about it. Then the coffee!!! Oh the coffee! Beans from their tree, freshly ground, that was just heavenly. They were warm hearted, kind, humble people whom I will never forget.”

The Discoverer and Paul Murry’s group filled the fishboxes with Dorados during their trip on August 14.
These tasty Dorados will certainly keep the group fed during their week.
Our old friend Jon Matula has returned to Nosara and is rolling about 14 deep. His group spread out across several boats on the 13th, and the group on the Discoverer posted some great Yellowfin Tuna catches.
These were backed up by a nice Dorado and a sweet Blue Marlin release.
David and Kevin Paredes joined Captain Alex on August 12 and continued their run of hot fishing both offshore and inshore.
This 34lbs. Rooster Fish release is a great addition to the trophy case, and was a harbinger of good things to come later in the day when they headed offshore.
The Harvester reports a 48lb. Yellowfin Tuna and two nice Dorados caught in the blue water offshore.
On August 10, Natalie Scheider and her friends turned in a nice half day with the Explorer.
Big Dorados were the order of the day, and these anglers were more than happy to bring them home.
