It’s always great to see young anglers get a taste of great blue water action.
The Explorer welcomed Jacksonville’s Nathan Stuart for a great day of action on June 27.
Nathan is truly serious about fish. He is the proprietor of the restaurant Seafood Kitchen in Jacksonville Beach, and he won a prize that we offered at the Kingbuster fishing tournament on June 24. Within hours he had booked his trip and was in Nosara ready to catch ’em up.
After several great Sailfish releases, Captain Fico lead this group to a nice bite of Yellowfin Tunas.
Now anyone who knows about the Seafood Kitchen knows that it is a true legend of Jacksonville Beach’s eateries, however we have a legend of our own in Nosara…Chef Maria of Nosara Paradise Rentals visited Nathan’s house to share her Yellowfin Tuna receipes, and these photos look good enough to eat:
Empty plates and empty dished means big smiles all around!
The offshore bite has been on fire the last few days, and it looks like our Captains’ sharing of knowledge is paying off big time.
The Harvester called up Captain Fico on his phone and let him know that the big action was going on a dozen miles out in the blue water.
Angler Nicholas Grothe was the beneficiary of this action and scored multiple Sailfish releases backed up with perfect-for-eating Yellowfin Tunas filets.
Dan Bowman and his girls had such a good time on the Wanderer on April 19 that he signed up for a return engagement on the morning of April 25 with the Explorer.
Well it turns out lightning can strike twice, as proved by this grand array of fresh fish filets.
For the afternoon session, Captain Fico welcomed Shawn Cline and Philip Yim. They also found great blue water success on the Super Panga.
This super Sailfish release was backed up by more nice Yellowfin Tunas.
Awesome work by Captain Fico and the Explorer.
New Jersey angler Danny Azzato and his daughter knocked it out of the park on their first day fishing on the Explorer. A nice Roosterfish release started off the trip.
Then in the afternoon they headed offshore and loaded up on big Yellowfin Tunas.
Looks like dinner is served for these Garden State anglers!
It’s always a fun moment when we can fulfill a dream, and this young man’s fishing dreams came true with this excellent Dorado catch on April 13.
Awesome job by Captain Fico!
Captain Fico show angler Bill Mendoza and his family a good time on the 10th.
They nabbed a nice variety of catches, highlighted by this nice Dorado.
Bridget Cunningham’s family squeezed in a quick 2.5 hour sunset trip with Captain Fico, and in this short time still scored big.
This Cubera Snapper was the highlight of the trip which also included some nice Jack Crevalles.
Captain Fico ended the month with a very nice Amberjack catch with angler Kerri Watt.
Unlike their Atlantic Ocean brethren, then Pacific monsters are quite edible and very tasty.
Great work by the Explorer!
Legendary angler Ken Russell scored big on the Explorer with an awesome Dorado on ice.
Great work by this FishingNosara Hall of Famer!
