The legendary Dan Parker struck again with a huge day of Sailfish releases on the Harvester.
Captain Alex took them offshore and found the billfish were aggressive and hungry.
Early in the day they snatched up 4 Sailfish, all safe released by Mate Kevin.
The highlight of the trip was this awesome Double Sailfish Release:
This is one of the most exciting feats in fishing backed up by some amazing photos.
To round out the trip they put this big Dorado in the fishbox…perfect for a late night snack at Nosara Paradise Rentals with the Jerome McKown group.
Jerome McKown’s boys from Texas continued their hot fishing with Captain Alex on February 2. The Harvester headed off-shore and found the waters thick with Sailfish.
Everyone had multiple shots at big Pacific Sailfish.
Excellent fish handling by Mate Kevin to execute all these safe releases.
Captain Alex proves once again why he is Garza’s fastest rising star!
Art Jones andย David Ardoin marked up the scorecard with a wonderful day on the Harvester that featured a nice Striped Marlin release backed up with lots of Sailfish.
After the Marlin release, the Harvester was beset by hungry aggressive Sailfish.
With such clear water these fish are all the more gorgeous…Look at the glowing blue bio-luminescence on these beauty.
Mate Kevin was on his game with ten safe Sailfish releases plus the safe Marlin release. Surely his arms are tired after a day like this!
Amazing work by Captain William and the mega panga Harvester!
Ray Smith and Jerome McKown had a big day of action with Captain Alex on January 31.
The first big catches of the day were this pair of floor-sweeping Dorados.
Then the action really heated up in the afternoon where the Sailfish were stacked up thick as cordwood.
Looks like Ray was pumped up to catch this big monster!
The day was punctuated by several double strikes.
Mate Kevin did a fantastic job handling these big Pacific Sailfish…amazing work!
Jeff Dupree and his group started out their trip on the Harvester with a wonderful Sailfish release.
After the trophy release they continued scoring, filling up the refrigerator in with bunches of big Dorado.
This big one zig-zagged to both sides of the boat but Captain Alex kept the angles lined up and the fish off of the motor.
All told they nabbed five nice Dodos, all with good size to them.
The Harvester got on the scoreboard early with a toe-to-toe battle with a nasty Sailfish.
This fired-up monster put up a good fight, but was no match for Captain Alex and the Harvester.
Great work by Mate Kevin on the safe release…all in a day’s work for the mega panga!
The mega panga Harvester welcomed client Richard Dennis for a double Marlin release day on January 24.
This pair of juvenile Marlins put up the same strong fight as their full-grown brethren and challenged the skills of Captain Alex to keep the fish from tangling.
Beautiful fish-handling by Mate Kevin saw to a pair of safe releases of these unruly teenage Marlin.
All this on just a 5 hour trip!
David White and the Harvester turned in a performance worthy of the FishingNosara Hall of Fame on January 18.
First up with this challenging Double Sailfish release, with Mate Kevin on the assist.
These were the first of five Sailfish releases on the trip.
The highlight came late in the day with this 200+lbs. Marlin Release.
In mid-January the Harvester strung together several great results despite the presence of unusually high winds. The catch numbers went down a little but the billfish that were released are all monsters.
After this pair of nice releases the Mega Panga welcome Donald Ladenberger from the Sceptred Isle for a great day of action.
This Royal Navy veteran spun the guns on this Sailfish like the Bismarck, and Mate Kevin was there to play the role of Capt. Shepard.
Later in the week the offshore winds were just too much to bear so Captain Alex stayed inshore and kept the rods bent with Jack Crevalles and Dorados.
The next day the winds relaxed and the Harvester headed offshore for a couple of big Sailfish releases.
By mid-January the conditions were near-perfect, and Captain Alex was champing at the bit to get back into big-time blue water battles.
The day started quickly with two early Sailfish releases.
A third Sailfish hit the hook less than an hour later and once again the Harvester was up for the fight.
After the trophy releases they added a pair of swollen Dorados to the fishbox…pretty much the perfect end to a day on the water!
