Chameleon Andrews had a fantastic day with Master Captain William on the Wanderer.
Master Captain William flexed his photographer muscles with these amazing action shots, and Mate Elias saw to the safe release of this Striped Marlin as always.
They also dueled a high-flying Sailfish.
In addition to the billfish releases, Team Andrews nabbed several tasty Dorados for the dinner table.
The season is so young, but we already have our first sure-fire, first ballot FishingNosara Hall of Fame inductee:
This amazing 50+lbs. Dorado was scored by Andrew Mendenhall’s group on December 6. This monster was the largest of nine Dorados caught.
The Discoverer also added a Striped Marlin release and two Sailfish releases.
On any other day this level of billfish action would be an excellent performance, but the mega Mahi-Mahi makes this a day to remember.
FishingNosara has long been a proud sponsor of the Tampa, FL based Rough Riders Tournament; on November 21st, this year’s winners turned in a blistering performance on the Wanderer.
The highlight of the day was this sneaky little Striped Marlin:
The Wanderer also battled a nice Sailfish, safe releasing it as always.
For the fishbag they stacked up a nice pile of Dorado filets.
For variety, they added this pair of Yellowfin Tunas.
Great work by anglers Dan Rosensteel and Ed Benus.
The Harvester performed brillantly on the 21st with angler Chris Cummings group notching the scorecard with an excellent Striped Marlin release.
For the dinner table they nabbed a Dorado and a nice Yellowfin Tuna.
Dan Johnson from Hatteras, NC celebrated his 60th birthday with his family fishing on the Wanderer and Discoverer.
The birthday boy himself was on the Discoverer overseeing a big haul of meatfish; big Dorado and multiple Yellowfin Tunas.
They also moved inshore and pulled up some tasty Red Groupers.
The Wanderer stayed rail-to-rail with the Discoverer, and the other half of the Johnson family scored several super billfish releases.
The Wanderer scored their own pile of filets with multiple Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas on ice.
The Wanderer‘s scorecard was highlighted by a 450lbs. Black Marlin release and two Sailfish releases.
All billfish safe released as always.
They celebrated with a family birthday dinner at Marlin Bill’s.
Happy B-day Dan!
The Discoverer took anglers Marko Vukovich, Matthew Mccain, and Mark Wilkins out for a morning 5 hour trip on November 15, and despite the short trip they filled the fishbox with nice Dorados.
They also got hooked up to a nice Blue Marlin, but this beast escaped after a short duel. Great video from the tower by Captain Carlos:
Another awesome Marlin release on the 27-foot Explorer with Captain Antonio and angler Wayne Hopkins.
Master Captain William took the Wanderer out on October 4 and lit up the scoreboard with an awesome Blue Marlin release.
After the safe release, Paul Norris’ group also brought home the bacon with some excellent Yellowfin Tunas.
Here is what Paul had to say after the trip: “Great day fishing! 1st Marlin, 1st Sailfish, then we caught 4 yellowfin tuna and 4 Dorado (mahi mahi).
“I can’t thank Daradee Olson enough for being a trooper and falling in love with my passion for fishing. She killed it!”
The Discoverer and Cole Clarkson’s family wouldn’t let this season end…the big battleship pushed the sun back up into the sky for one more day of Summer and scored TWO Blue Marlin releases on the last day of the season.
For their end of vacation dinner, this nice Yellowfin Tuna will be an excellent delicacy.
