BOOM! Big Black Marlin on the mighty Wanderer!
They also added another Sailfish release to their haul to finish out a great week of fishing in Costa Rica.
Another day, another batch of Sailfish releases for Peter Sohlden and his posse.
These guys have been on fire all week!
These are all great looking fish, each easily over 150lbs.
They also added this tasty Yellowfin Tuna to polish of the trip.
Peter and the boys stayed inshore for their third day on the Wanderer and they pulled this excellent Cubera Snapper off the bottom:
These guys have caught all kinds of fish this week and they are only halfway home!
Peter Sohlden’s boys gained momentum with more Sailfish releases to start the day on April 27. This pair of releases got things going:
With several releases under their fighting belts this group flipped over to the spinning tackle, chased a school of spinning porpoises and casted for Yellowfin Tunas.
It’s a welcome sight to see these 20lbs. football-sized Yella Fellas back in our area. They always come in the early summer, and the big Marlin are usually close behind!
We met Peter Sohlden at the Florida Sportsman Expo in Ft. Myers last year, and he signed up for five days of fishing on the mighty Wanderer.
The ice was broken on the first trip of the week with a pair of sweet Sailfish releases.
