More great catches reported by the Discoverer. On August 12 Captain Carlos reports this sweet Sailfish release backed up by a nice Rooster fish release:

Nice fishing from the battlship!
Kenneth Noonan had a very productive half day with Captain Alex reporting two sweet Sailfish releases for the Harvester.

The second fish was a real fighter, and put on a heck of a show above the water.

Great fish handling by Mate Kevin for safe releases all around.
Mark and Kimberly Sechelski performed wonderfully on the big battleship Discoverer on August 8 with this excellent Sailfish release.

Masterful work by Captain Carlos on the catch and Mate Juan Carlos on the release.

Plenty of big smiles on the Discoverer!

Dean McPhearson and his crew joined the Wanderer for an offshore hunt and scored a pair of wonderful Sailfish releases on their 6.5 hour trip.

The first release was a monster, and the second was nothing to sneeze at either:

The Wanderer welcomed fun-loving Texans Harold and Cindy Derby and their friends Eugene and Pam Patton for an exquisite day of action on August 6.

Lots of great Sailfish action was reported by Captain William.

Fred Schroder scored the fish of a lifetime with Captain Alex on August 6. Take a gander at this MASSIVE Black Marlin:

The Harvester backed this monster down aggressively to keep the fight short and sweet; a benefit to both fish and angler.

Later in the day they also released a big Sailfish:

Amazing work by Captain Alex and Mate Kevin on the Harvester.
The Harvester welcomed Harold Derby’s great group for the first of their three fishing days, and they brought the best element for a good day on the water: Great attitudes!

Captain Alex stayed on the hunt as they gathered Bonita for bait.

The bite was a little slow, with a few mystery fish spitting the hooks.

Still all smiles for these big fishing Texans who are primed for a great week of action.

Bob Owens is blew into town on the 30th for a fun week of fishing and he got started right with a super Sailfish release on the Wanderer.

Nice release by Mate Johnson means we”ll be seeing this monster again down the line.
Paul Reynolds took a victory lap on July 29 as his last day of fishing yielded another fish-of-a-lifetime for this Winter Park angler.

The new FishingNosara visor must have lured up a big one…Check out this MASSIVE Cubera Snapper he snagged early in the day.

After the inshore success, Captain William pointed the blue beauty off shore for another stroll through Sailfish City.

Here’s what Paul had to say on Tripadvisor:
“What a great trip! I’m an avid fisherman in Florida and the Bahamas, but this blew all of my other trips away. Everyone from Craig (owner / booking) to Matt and all of the captains & crew were great.”
“We fished 3.5 days and caught 26 billfish, 5 dorado (one at 60 lbs) and 16 yellowfin tuna… not to mention the cubera snapper, amberjack and other inshore fish. We fished mostly on the Wanderer, Harvester and Explorer. All were great, but my favorites were Capt William & first Mate Johnny (Wanderer) and the Captain Alex with first mate Kevin (Harvester).”
“We fished mostly ballyhoo with circle hooks offshore and all crews knew how to fish. Almost every captain spoke English too… which really helps. My favorite was when we found some bonito and slow trolled them for the marlin, larger sailfish and inshore for cubera.”
“Don’t be fooled by the rainy season… it produces offshore as well. Rooster fish were very hard to find and may be better other seasons. I do not hesitate in recommending this group for a great fishing trip.”
“If you are looking to fish large sportfish boats with A/C…. this is not your trip. But if you want to catch the same quality and quantity of fish for 1/3 of the price… this is the trip. I can’t wait to book my next trip!”
“PS – lunch was included for our trips and was fantastic. Cooked by the local ladies and in classic Costa Rica style. Water and fresh fruit included too… just bring the beer, the sunscreen and the gopro / cameras!!”
Ryan Miles finished off his week of legendary fishing action with a great inshore/offshore day on the mega panga Harvester.

Early in the trip young Mr. Miles nailed this beefy Cubera Snapper.

With the meat fish on ice, Captain Alex headed offshore to round up some sweet Sailfish releases.

Great work by Captain Alex and the mega panga!
