The Harvester turned in a full scorecard on December 22. Our old friend David Mackenzie and his group scored six BIG Dorados and a quartet of Sailfish releases.
All the Sailfish were safe released as always.
Slow down boys…we gotta filet them before we eat them!
Ian Maxwell’s family had a big performance on the mighty flagship Wanderer. Most importantly, the whole group got a crack at a blue water beastie:
They also scored a fantastic Sailfish release later in the day.
Dean Pollack’s group nabbed a great Sailfish release on the 21st.
Then they added a bunch of high-flying Dorados for the dinner table.
Randy Lovejoy and his family found great success on December 20 with a Sailfish release leading the scorecard.
The Discoverer released this monster as always, then set in on multiple Dorado scores.
“We had a WONDERFUL time today!” wrote Randy after the trip. “So glad we did the trip. Thank you!! And hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
Our good friend Stephane Ughetto had a great day with Captain Antonio and Mate Raffa on December 20. This nice Sailfish release was the highlight:

He also scored this wonderful Sailfish release. What a beauty!
On the Discoverer, Andrew Mendenhall’s family added to their stocked scorecard with another great Sailfish release.
Andrew and Richard also nabbed dinner with this Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna combo.
We received this note from Andy after the trip:
“Jill’s massive Dorado was an amazing fish in the midst of multiple billfish and other large dorado. Carlos and David, just like William and Elias are very skilled captains and crew. Remarkable humans, as well with close family and histories that go back generations.”
“We have had a truly amazing vacation, the first one for my father, sister and I- together in 35 years. All of the boat crews, the staff, Eduardo and family have all been amazing hosts. We are grateful!”
“We are definitely going to book a time in later March or April of ‘24 and will hopefully have a group of about 8-12 for lodging and fishing.”
“Jill will reach out to Bob and I know you are going to love to learn more about her vision and history of fishing in Minnesota!”
Best,
Andy
