Captain Eduardo and the big girl Sportsman welcomed clients Jason and Carol for a productive billfish hunt on April 23. They released 3 sails and a 250lbs striped marlin.
Great catches by the legendary Sportsman, and excellent releases by Mate Marcos Jr.
Captain Eduardo and his big battle wagon Sportsman played host to Mr. Neil Sawyer and his group for a great day on the water. They caught 6 Red Groupers, two Rooster fish, and a pair of Congrios.
Offshore or inshore, Captain Eduardo keeps his clients on the fish!
Check out this great client submitted report for John Maysak:
“My friends and I went fishing with Captain Eduardo for a full day offshore trip aboard the Sportsman. We released 1 sailfish, saw another that never bit, and caught 3 bonito.”
“Eduardo and his mates worked incredibly hard to make the day a memorable one for all of us, so much so that we booked another full day trip next week! It’s easy to tell how much they enjoy their work and they are very good at it.”
“To top off the day mate Chano sold us some langoustines to cook for our dinner”
Nice action on the Sportsman for client Chad from Montana. Captain Eduardo took the 32′ Shamrock offshore to the blue water break and found some fishy activity out in the deep water.
They raised up a beautiful Sailfish that tore through the spread robbing baits; it was too evasive this time and got away clean. However Chad backed-up that near miss with a big old Dorado estimated to weigh 40lbs.
Fresh sushi followed up with grilled mahi steaks…That quite a Christmas dinner right there!
Captain Eduardo brought our good buddy Ryan Kerr and some friends for a day of offshore billfish hunting on the 32′ battlewagon Sportsman. They started off with some nice Yellowfin action when a massive sailfish came tearing through the spread.
Nice release by First Mate Pepio and a great job by Captain Eduardo to best the beast.
Captain Eduardo has been knocking ’em out the last few weeks, and yesterday’s trip with Terry on the Sportsman was truly one to remember. They loaded up with a bunch of Bonitas for strip bait which in turn yielded three nice Yellowfin Tunas and two Amberjacks.
Then in the afternoon the Sailfish bite turned on in a major way. They raised five sails and buried the hooks into two of them. The releases were estimated at 80lbs. and 110lbs. Fantastic fishing by the legendary Captain Eduardo Carrillo.
Captain Eduardo is rocking and rolling this month. He has been extremely busy with lots of good trips and happy clients.
Client David Porthy booked the big Sportsman and had a great day on the inshore reefs. He caught two nice Yellowfin tunas, two Black tunas, and four big Amberjacks. Great trip as always from Captain Eduardo.
Captain Eduardo took a long ride offshore (about 35 miles) on the Sportman and he showed why he is the best captain in the area. He raised up 4 Marlins and caught 3 yellowfin tunas. It’s great to see the big battle wagon back in the water and catching fish.
In late March Captain Eduardo took the Sailfish to school, raising fourteen of them and getting four all the way to the boat for the release. Watch out fish! Eduardo’s in town.
“This crew’s professionalism and expertise is second to none and I cannot praise them enough…I never dreamed in my limited time to fish I would get even close to landing a sailfish. Eduardo and his team made a dream come true: landing my first ever sailfish which was in excess of 100lb.” (see photo below)
“I highly recommend Captain Eduardo and his team; his boat Sportsman is adequately equipped and fit for purpose. I just wanted to say a big thanks to them as they are the business.”
