Ben Evans and Joe Driscoll returned to the Wanderer on the 12th with another great fantastic fishing performance.

They stayed inshore this time and loaded the fish box with gigantic Amberjacks.

Beware of these masked bandits!

They also hooked up a small Shark, released without incident.

On their final day of fishing, they returned to Sailfish City and ended their week with this nice Sailfish release.

FishingNosara Hall of Famers Kenny Strickler and Morgan Trible returned to Nosara for a New Year’s celebration of fun times and big fish.

This Double Sailfish release may be the coolest picture of the year so far:

There was lots of Sailfish action throughout the week:

Plus they scored an inshore gem…this is one fine Rooster Fish:

Returning anglers Joseph Driscoll and Ben Evans started their week with a bang on January 9 with a bevy of big billfish releases on the Wanderer.

The Sailfish were extra fired-up, but Master Captain William was one step ahead of them with his virtuoso boat handling skills.

The action didn’t stop until the sun went down, which was just fine by these hardcore anglers.

Morgan and Kenny brought the year to a close with a monster performance on December 31, highlighted by the FishingNosara team’s first-ever Triple Sailfish Release!

We’ve caught up to four Sailfish simultaneously in the past, but never had enough hands on deck to safely handle more than two at a time for pictures.

First Mate Alex has been training the new Mates as he waits until the Harvester arrives, and fate would have it that he was on hand to coordinate this amazing photo.

These Virginia-based anglers scored a few more Sails to round out the trip later in the day.

Leah Merryfield’s group was back on the Wanderer for more great Sailfish action on December 30, highlighted by this late day Double Sailfish release:

This was the icing on the cake of a day that saw seven Sailfish releases by Leah’s team.

Leah took the lead with several Sailfish of her own on the group’s second multiple release day.

ย This Texas anglers are certainly in line for another entry into the FishingNosara Hall of Fame!

Greggory Adamo and his group had a big fun time on the Wanderer with a feisty Marlin release and several sweet Sailfish releases on the scorecard.

After the Marlin release, everyone got there chance to fight a Pacific Sail.

Funny how big fish and big smiles always seem to go hand-in-hand!

All fish safely released by First Mate Alex and Mate Johnson…the perfect end to a great day of catching.

Hendrik and Maria Engel continued their annual Christmas fishing fiesta with a legendary performance on the mighty Wanderer.

After three years of knocking out Pacific Sailfish, young Ms. Engel finally scored the true fish-of-a-lifetime with this gargantuan Blue Marlin:

Fantastic work by Captain William to deliver this, his third Marlin release of the week.

Later in the day Hendrik brought home dinner for the family in the form of this big Yellowfin Tuna.

December 26, 2015

In the afternoon the Wanderer took Shelly Peters’ boys offshore and found the fish of a lifetime around 2pm.

This monster Blue Marlin easily weighs over 400lbs. and is the kind of fish that most anglers work their entire lives to conquer.

Amazing work by these young anglers, who also added a nice Sailfish release late in the day:

Roosters in the morning and Billfish in the evening…the flagship proves again why she is the best boat in Costa Rica!
