The Discoverer kept scoring on July 21st with an excellent Sailfish release backed up with a nice Yellowfin Tuna.


Erik Hunter and his family drove down from Tamarindo on July 19 for a quick fishing trip, and despite the slow start (traffic, y’all) they still scored big.





Early meat fish catches got the team limbered up for battle, which came in the afternoon thanks to a swarm of Sailfish.





“Here was Erik’s email to us: “I just want to thank you guys for an awesome fishing trip yesterday. We caught a lot of fish! Alex and his crew were amazing and very good at fishing.”
“We had 4 Sailfish releases, 3 Mahi one 34lbs and two yellowfin. Lost two more Sailfish and one stud yellowfin.”



Jim Jordan’s group landed this super Sailfish on July 15…Safe released as always.

They also made the rods bend with these nice catches during their week in Costa Rica:

For the dinner table they added these swole Yellowfin Tunas.


The Discoverer and Corey Hoover’s group caught some true monsters on July 13.


Big billfish releases dotted the scorecard, and were backed up by a nice array of Yellowfin Tunas.


The Discoverer scored another amazing Blue Marlin release on July 10 with angler Michael Bosse and his crew.


Great work by Mate Kevin to safely handle and release this majestic monster.


Captain Carlos also reports that several swell Yellowfin Tuna were put on ice for the dinner table.


Some folks plan their Costa Rica fishing trip months in advance, but others walk into the office and book a trip for that day as did angler Bradley Goss.



Captain Alex delivered the goods for this Oklahoma angler in the form of a 190lbs. Yellowfin Tuna.

On July 4, Captain William and angler Rodney Sharpe and his crew for an action-packed 5 hour trip. Despite the shortened day, the flagship still scored an amazing Marlin release:


They also scored some sweet Sailfish releases.
