Captain Alex was deep in the battle on January 14 as client Kevin Poindexter threw down with an sweet Blue Marlin.

Mate Kevin estimated this beast at a little over 300lbs. Safe released alive and kicking as usual.

The big Marlin was the headliner, but it was supported by this excellent Sailfish release.

This high-flyer put on a nice show with lots of above-the-water action.

They finally outlasted this Sailfish, and brought home lots of nice photos of the fight.

This group rounded out their day with a nice Dorado and a sweet Yellowfin Tuna. Good thing, because it’s easy to work up a big appetite when catching all day long!

The Harvester welcomed FishingNosara Hall of Famer and Northeast FishingNosara Representative Mark Cooney for an excellent day of catching on the 12th.

BIG Yellowfin Tunas put the mega panga (and her tackle) to the test. Look at this rod-snapping catch:

The Harvester‘s “Never Surrender” attitude was on display at this 40+lbs. Yellowfin managed to break a rod, but not break the mega panga’s spirit.

Later in the day the fish got bigger for Team Cooney.

With tons of Yellowfin Tuna on ice, the ocean changed it up and providedย  lovely Dorado scores.

Fantastic work by Captain Alex and the Harvester!

The other half of Adam LeMaster’s group was on the Discoverer on the 11th, and angler Roger Salinas managed to one-up the flagship with this feisty Blue Marlin release.

Excellent work by Captain Carlos and Mate Kevin to round up this monster…they also add a Sailfish release later in the trip:

Like the other group, they stocked up on Dorado filets.

However they upped the ante with multiple awesome Yellowfin Tunas on ice.

Great job by the big battleship!

The Discoverer delivered the goods for angler Dean Givens and his crew on January 10. They ran the gamut of species, highlighted by this awesome Blue Marlin release.

That big monster was followed up by a nice Sailfish release.

The group also stocked up the refrigerator. This big Yellowfin Tuna was complimented by several nice Dorados.

Amazing all-around action on the big battleship!

Captain David fished every day from December 20 to the 28th, and scored a wide variety of great fish for his clients.

Yellowfin Tunas were in the mix, even though we aren’t anywhere close to their peak season. Its a great sign to see these football-sized Yella Fellas this close to shore, and this early in the year.

An array of Jack Crevelles and Rock Snappers made sure that ceviche would be on the Christmas dinner table.

Big Dorados have been in the area all month and while most boats found them 10 miles offshore, the crafty Adventurer nabbed several monsters that wandered too close to shore.

What a great start to the season for Captain David and the 23-foot switchblade.
