On December 15 angler Matt Finn performed brilliantly with several fat Yella Fells on ice.

The Explorer posted the trip of the season so far on December 14 with Jim Becker and FishingNosara Northeast Representative Mark Cooney each nagging a Marlin release.

Mark’s fish was a great catch, but Mr. Becker’s Blue Marlin is truly the highlight of the day.

The Explorer is always a good bet for a suprise fish, and this monster Wahoo fits the bill.

This fish is quite abundant, but this catch is surprising because the sharp teeth of the Wahoo tends to overwhelm our all-mono blue water rigs.

The barroom brawler also nagged the more predictable haul of Yellowfin Tunas.
John Finley and John Brule were scheduled to fish on the Adventurer on the 11th, but they chose to move up to the Explorer to head offshore and hunt big monster fish.

This Sailfish is a beautiful addition to the scrapbook, but the real take-home prizes came later in the trip.

This BIG Yellowfin Tuna is more than an armload, and was joined by a school of smaller friends. Here is FishingNosara’s Northeast US Representative Mark Cooney with a tasty yella fella:

The final treat was this MONSTER floor-sweeping Dorado:

Huge Dorados and Yellowfins? You gotta love this time of year in Nosara.

The Lutz boys kept up the hot action on December 11. Captain Alex caught this amazing footage of BIG Yellowfin Tunas breaching the water:
They worked over the bubbling pot of fish and nagged this pair of excellent specimens.

The Discoverer got her share of the action on December 11 with our old friend Dave Caywood’s group scoring this sweet Sailfish.

Bob and Travis Suit scored big on the 10th with Captain Fico reporting a fired-up Sailfish waiting for them offshore.

After the safe Sailfish release, they boated a big Dorado for the dinner table.

Great way to cap off a fun week of fishing!

The Harvester welcomed Bob and Travis Suit for a fun day of blue water action. A nice Sailfish release led off the scoring.

The remainder of the day was spent slaying big Yellowfin Tunas.

Looks like these boys will be well fed for the week!
Captain David welcomed angler Gary Clark for a full day of inshore scoring. Nice Dorados topped the scorecard.

They also bagged a nice variety of inshore morsels including these Tripletails.

John Brule and John Finley had a very productive day on December 9, with Captain William reporting excellent Yellowfin Tuna action.

This monster was the highlight of the trip:
