The Discoverer scored big on March 31 with multiple Sailfish releases backed-up with several nice Yellowfin Tunas.
2025 Ship of Fools Tournament Recap
The 2025 Ship of Fools Tournament was held in Playa Garza in late March. As usual the whole community was fired up with 14 boats on the scoreboard.
All five FishingNosara boats were in the hunt, and the big battleship Discoverer added to the trophy case with a third place finish.

The Wanderer and Harvester were hot on their heels with several sweet billfish releases on the scoreboard.
The Harvester also added this Calcutta-worthy Yellowfin Tuna.
Even the 23-foot Adventurer was in the mix, with some early billfish releases on day 1.
Congratulations to all the boats who participated in a lovely weekend of fishing…can’t wait until next year!

The Harvester had a picture-perfect trip on March 27, starting with awesome Sailfish action.
They then nabbed a nice pile of Yellowfin Tunas for the filet bag.
Then they came back inshore and released a beautiful Cubera Snapper.
