Captain William continued his consistent fishing on December 28, pulling in a nice Sailfish release on an otherwise slow day.

Three generations of Scotty Moore’s family hit the water on the 28th for their first day of fishing in Costa Rica. Captain Alex and the Harvester were ready to rock and Team Moore stayed on the bite all day.
They scored multiple excellent Yellowfin Tunas. I think they got next year’s Christmas card ready to go!
Earlier in the day they boated a nice Dorado, also a tasty filet for the dinner table.

Kyle Bishop’s group did it big on the Discoverer, with Captain Carlos reporting four total Sailfish releases. The highlight was this Double Sailfish release.
“Epic day! 4 sailfish, one for everyone!” emailed Kyle.
Amazing action on just a 5 hour trip…imagine if they had gone longer.
Shane and Kristina Sheltra returned to Nosara in late December, and on the 27th they had a great day of blue water fishing on the Explorer.
This monster Blue Marlin release was the highlight of a day that also included great Sailfish action.

Sean Donovan’s group scored an amazing Blue Marlin release on the 24th.
For those keeping score at home, that is two Marlin releases in as many day for the big battleship Discoverer.
A sweet Sailfish release rounded out the scorecard.
The Wanderer and Captain William endured a slow day in late December, but still came away with a nice Dorado for angler Chris Barnett’s group.
Captain Alex and the Harvester scored a Blue Marlin release on December 23. Get a look at this beauty:
Great job by Captain David (of the Adventurer) filling-in at the mate position. This monster was safely released as always.
While the big boats were offshore battling Marlins, the Explorer chose a closer orbit and Captain Fico’s witchcraft paid off for the Stephane Ughetto group.
This BIG Yellowfin Tuna (~60lbs.) was clearly the catch of the day, and it was backed up with a nice Sailfish release.

On December 23, John Turchetta’s group and the Discoverer nagged the fish of a lifetime with this wonderful Blue Marlin release.

The Coffey family brought home the bacon on December 17, with Captain Alex reporting a nice spread of Dorado and Yellowfin Tunas for the filet bag.
