Roger Bowgen and his posse returned to the Wanderer for a fantastic full day trip to the blue water.
Last trip they scored a bunch of Marlin releases, and on this trip they put a whipping on a nice number of Pacific Sailfish
They scored two early releases, then got a taste of the Wanderer‘s true might with a Double Sailfish release.
The action stayed strong all day, with eight total Sailfish releases by sundown.
February 28 brought great action on the Wanderer as she scored another Double Sailfish release…that’s two in one week!
This day also included three solo Sailfish releases, making for a banner end to a great month of action.
The Wanderer finished the month with another high-flying Sailfish battle.
This monster gave the flagship everything she wanted, but the Wanderer prevailed with a safe Sailfish release.
Returning Hall of Famer Dennis Seltsam tried his hand on the new Discoverer for a few trips in late February. Joined by Bill and Mary Elms, this Kentucky angler scored big on a variety of species.
This big Dorado was the highlight, but they also nabbed Sailfish, Snapper, and Yellowfin Tuna
The inshore bite stayed strong for Captain Fico has he guided this young angler to an excellent Yellowfin Tuna.
These 20-25lbs. Yellas usually show up in the summer, so it’s a nice treat to see one this early in the year.
The Wanderer welcomedย Dennis Cinquino for some super Sailfish action.
What a great fight! Safe released as usual by First Mate Alex means another notch on Captain William’s Sailfish scorecard.
The Rooster fish bite has been out-of-hand this season, and the Wanderer has been there to snag ’em.
Bill Elms scored this wonderful Rooster release to add to his scorecard for the week.
The Wanderer was back in action with client Dennis Cinquiano enjoying great action with the flagship.
They stayed inshore in the morning and snagged a beautiful Rooster Fish, which was released after the photo.
Around noon Captain William followed a flock of Frigate Birds (also called Marlin Birds) offshore to a boiling bait ball.
In no time the blue beauty was hooked up to a pair of Sailfish.
Great fight coordination and fish handling by First Mate Alex lead to a beautiful Double Sailfish release.

Recently the barroom brawler pulled up a stool to the legendary reef at Pincha Padre and knocked out all comers.
This beautiful Rooster fish release is certainly the highlight of the haul.
Later in the day they scored a nice-sized Cubera Snapper for the dinner table. Excellent tasting filets on the way!
