Teresa Schilhab’s boys scored a lovely pair of Rooster Fish releases on board the battleship Discoverer:
Nice work by Captain David to ensure the safe release of both of these beauties.
Teresa Schilhab scored big Sailfish earlier in the week, and this week filled the filet bags with big Yellowfin Tunas.
Four total fish ranging from 30lbs. to 80lbs. Great work by the flagship!
The big Battleship welcomed some little anglers for some fun inshore action on July 14.
Captain David (a father of two himself) is an excellent teacher of the craft and the Discoverer is a great place for youngsters to catch the fishing bug.
Nice work on these critters, especially considering it’s been years since we saw the elusive Congrio (the eel/fish hybrid held by the kid in the red shirt). That is one tasty filet right there!
Teresa Schilhab and her group got off to a fast start on the Wanderer with several sweet Sailfish releases.
Nice hunting by Captain William and great releases from First Mate Alex.
Sweet Rooster fish release on the battleship Discoverer on July 8.
Safely returned to the water as always…see you soon buddy!
All boats were deployed on July 7, but as always the Wanderer led the way with several sweet Sailfish releases and lots of Yellowfin Tuna filets for a great family of fishermen.
It’s always a treat to see youngsters get their fishing games started, but with these kind of big pelagics I hope they don’t get spoiled!
The grown-ups got in on the action as well:
The Yellowfin Tuna have established a beachhead a few miles offshore and it will take our Navy a few months to break through their lines.
Until then it’s gonna be big smiles and full fishboxes!
Team Bealls scored a pair of sweet Sailfish with Captain David on the Discoverer during a 5 hour trip on July 5.
Great work by the battleship!
Returning FishingNosara Hall of Famer Morgan Trible celebrated July 4th in style with a tasty Yellowfin on ice:
Sushi anyone?
Our good friend Taylor Lukof joined the Wanderer for a little blue water battling.
The bite was a little slow, but the flagship still managed to score this sweet Sailfish release.
“Great time had by all, here are some pictures from our 7/2 trip on Wanderer.” writes Jeff Beall.

Later on they encountered a school of big Yellowfin Tunas.
Each of the boys tackled a Yella Fella of their own on this trip.
First Mate Alex is always trying new things, and for these big Tunas he likes to vent them of their blood immediately after the catch using a strong rope and a small incision above the tail.
This keeps the boat clean, preserves ice, and most importantly produces a blast of oxygen-rich blood into the spread which attracts more bites.
Great work by this hard-fishing family!
