Captain David delivered the goods again on March 15 with great scores of Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna from the inshore reefs.
Great work by the inshore samurai Captain David!
Captain David welcomed Carl Lindberg or Vermont for a very productive day of inshore filet gathering on March 9.
The highlight was the elusive Congrio. One of the few sea creatures that can swim backwards, this unusual fish/eel hybrid yields a tasty white fish that is similar to lobster tail…yummy!
He also nabbed a sandwich-sized Dorado and a nice White Tuna.
He finished off the day with a pair of big Yellowfin Tunas.
Captain David’s performance this month has smashed the boat record, and on February 24 he continued his dominance with four Groupers caught and a Sailfish release with client Mike Nobles.
Eric Weissman and his friend Zev enjoyed great action with Captain David on a pair of trips in mid-February.
After their first trip delivered catches of Pompano and White Tunas, the returned on the 20th to score tasty Yellowfin Tunas:
Great fishing and pictures by Eric Weissman!
The Adventerer scored a wonderful quartet of fish on the 19th with client Ann Viitala.
White Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevelle, and this big Pompano…now that’s a haul!
John Difilippo got into town a few days before the rest of his group, so before attacking the blue water on the big boats he chose to gather up meat fish with Captain David.
Nice scores of Yellowfin Tuna, Pompano, and Queen Snapper means that the Difilippo group will be well-fed upon their arrival. Excellent work!
Captain David welcomed some new friends from the nation of France for an action-packed five day campaign on the Adventurer.
It’s definitely a good sign to see these Yellowfin Tuna this close to shore.
Stephane Venant, Tim Capsek, and Camille Chombart we prepared for inshore battle; take a look at Stephane’s traveling arsenal:
Clearly the fish weren’t prepared for these hard-fighting Frenchmen!
Big Snappers were also lurking on the reefs, and they were no match for Stephane:
The week ended on a high note with this excellent Rooster Fish release…they had been looking for an elusive pez gallo all week and finally scored on the last day of fishing:
Captain David closed out the month of January with a BANG as the 23-foot Adventurer scored another big billfish release.
Client Zyan Fernades was the angler against this big Sailfish…what an achievement for the sneaky little panga boat!
Captain David kept the good times rollin’ on January 27 with a boat load of fun fresh filets.
These big Jack Crevelles came early in the trip with some late-day rod bending provided by these Bonitas:
The advantage if fishing five times a week is that Captain David can apply one day’s success to the next trip. He took Antonio Cantillo to the same spot he’s been working all week and once again scored:
The highlight was this big Amberjack, which was backed up by a big Jack Crevelle and a small White Tuna.
The next day Captain David and Paul Fontaine found this manhole-cover sized Pompano…can you say ‘ceviche’?
