The Adventurer welcomed Craig Sutton for an inshore assault in late May. They had some near-missed on Cubera Snapper, but did score this monster Amberjack.
The Stoked on Fishing group had the day off on the 21st, but you gotta love that Martin Levy and Dave Schaefer weren’t looking to lay around; they booked Captain David for a fun day of action on theย Adventurer.
A big Amberjack was backed up with a nice Jack Crevalle.
Captain Alex stays on the cutting edge; in late April the rest of the boats were still jumping on Dorado, but the mega panga moved on to the Yellowfin Tuna swarms further offshore.
Later they came inshore and mugged a big Amberjack. Great catch by Tony Williams.
Captain Carlos has kept his foot on the gas after the tournament. On the 17th he scored this awesome Marlin release.
They also added a big Amberjack and Rooster fish release inshore.
Several Sailfish releases rounded out the trip.
Mark Cooney and Paul Tilton posted a pair of perfect catches with Captain Fico on the 11th. This meaty Amberjack lead off the scoring:
The memorable fish was this floor-sweeping Dorado.
Proof again that you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Costa Rica!
The Robert family stayed near to shore with Captain Alex on the 19th, and they ran the gauntlet of our inshore species. These big red Cubera Snappers are a real treat.
Then the Harvester pulled in this big Pacific Amberjack.
Once the filet bag was filled to the brim, they scored a wonderful trophy fish release with this excellent Rooster Fish:

The inshore assassin Adventurer continued to score major fish on July 10. Get a load of this MASSIVE Amberjack:

Captain David then lead a tour of the fish market, loading up on Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, and Dorado.
I don’t know if the IGFA recognizes an ‘Inshore Tasty Filets Grand Slam’, but if so this clearly qualifies.
The Adventurer welcome Chris Walcott for a morning half day and they walloped a GIGANTIC Amberjack.
This monster easily weighs over 60lbs. and will make for some fine filets; unlike their Atlantic Ocean brethren, the Pacific Amberjacks are great table fare.
Later on they also came face-to-face with a Shark.
This is as close as Captain David wanted to get to this mini Jaws, so they cut the line and let him swim free.
