Rick Kennedy and his group had a productive trip with Captain Carlos on January 11. The highlight was this sweet Sailfish release:
They backed that up with a floor-sweeping Dorado. Great work by the big battleship Discoverer.
On the Wanderer, Rick Swaim’s group. scored a nice Sailfish release on the 28th.
They also scored a monster floor-sweeping Dorado. MMMMmmm!
James Dooley and Mark Cooney (Northeast Rep for FishingNosara) joined the Wanderer on December 26 and they scored a wide variety of fish.
This early Sailfish release was complimented by multiple big meat fish.
Great work by the whole crew on this great day of action.
Joshua Kaplan walked into the office on the morning of the 26th and booked the Harvester for that very afternoon; despite the truncated day they still nagged a bunch of great fish.
This monster Dorados were the highlight on a day that also featured a swole Sailfish release and a bunch of Yellowfin Tunas.
Dan Johnson had another great day with Captain Fico on December 9.
“My guests were 11-year-old Moises (son to Capitan Fico) and his friend 14-year-old Anthony. They are new captains.”
“Great fishing with Captain Fico. We caught 10 tunas and a 50 pound gaffer Dorado.”
Jacksonville angler Dennis Garcia nagged one of the biggest Dorados we’ve ever seen on November 23 with the Harvester.
According to the Boca Grip this bad boy tips the scales at 63lbs. He wasn’t lonely in the fishbox either, as multiple Dorados came roaring through the spread throughout the trip.

Mark Cooney and Paul Tilton posted a pair of perfect catches with Captain Fico on the 11th. This meaty Amberjack lead off the scoring:

Proof again that you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Costa Rica!
The flagship Wanderer posted a Hall of Fame-caliber day on Dorados on November 7th with Team Mayor’s filet bags bursting at the seams.
The morning brought plenty of nice catches, but the fish-of-a-lifetime came calling late in the trip. Get a load of this monster:
