The Explorer ain’t scared of a little rain, and on May 29 Jacksonville angler Blake Brown nagged this excellent Yellowfin Tuna.
Great work by the barroom brawler!
Captain Fico and the Explorer welcomed Jacksonville angler Steve Grant and his son for a sweet day of action on May 26.
Way back in 2009, Steve was instrumental in outfitting FishingNosara’s first boats with world class tackle. It’s great to see our old friend putting in big work on the Nosara blue water.
This Cubera Snapper was a very memorable catch for Mr. Grant, and was supplemented with this nice Dorado.
This excellent Rooster fish was also released by the unstoppable Explorer.
Merritt and Brian Wruble, Nicole and Bubba Miles, Glenn and Dahni Bloomfield enlisted the Explorer for a massive day of great Yellowfin Tuna scores.
“We had such an amazing trip!!” Merritt posted. “Thank you to the staff, captains and deck hands!!! You all went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip with great memories !! Thank you!!! Can’t wait to start planning our next trip down there!!!“
The Explorer stayed inshore with Lou Corsaro on May 10 and they pulled off a great double-whammy. First up was an excellent Rooster Fish release:
After the trophy fish release, it was time to tend to the dinner table. This MASSIVE Cubera Snapper fits the bill perfectly.
The Explorer welcomed angler Brian Reaver on May 6 and he scored this behemoth Rooster Fish release.
Wesley Berry’s group put in big work on a short trip with Captain Fico reporting good action on a morning 5 hour trip.
After the Sailfish release, they belted up for a nice fight against a big Yellowfin Tuna.
Great work by the barroom brawler Explorer.
Elbert Bivins and his family had a fun day on the 25th, boating both Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas for the dinner table.
It’s always fun to see young anglers get a crack at blue water sportfishing.
On April 14 the Explorer got into some serious fish. First up was this nice Sailfish release:
Then they followed up the trophy release with an excellent batch of Yellowfin Tuna filets.
All in a day’s work for Captain Fico and the barroom brawler Explorer.
Legendary Carolina angler Dan Johnson was fishing hard during and after the Ship of Fools tournament, and on the 9th he scored two nice Sailfish on the Explorer.
The Explorer also had Blue marlins in the spread but wouldn’t bite, and later nabbed two Groupers and other bottom fish.
“Great day with the fishing team always. Thank you. Dan Johnson”
Tony Loff and his son enlisted the Explorer for a great day of offshore blue water action on March 30.
We got this nice email from Tony after the trip:
“Here are a few pics of the fish we caught with Fico and Johny. Those guys were awesome. They probably told you but we caught 2 sails, 2 mahi, and had 1 blue marlin and 2 sails chase the teasers to the boat.”
“Unfortunately they did not hit the throw back bait. We also lost 2 mahi. On a final note, the lunch was excellent. Thanks for the good time.”
