Alaska’s own Kenny Ray returned to Nosara with his family to ply the inshore reefs on the Explorer and caught a wide variety of reef-dwellers. The highlight was this big Jack Crevelle:

After scoring offshore the day before, Captain Fico returned inshore and delivered this fat Broomtail Grouper for his clients.
Captain Fico is a master of both inshore fishing and offshore blue water battling, evidenced by this healthy Sailfish release.

The Super panga welcomed client Kevin Poindexter for an inshore hunt, and he overcame this nice Queen Snapper.
This is a great fish, especially to find this close to shore.
FishingNosara Hall of Famer George Shipley was one of the Explorer‘s first clients, fishing on the super panga in February 2011 and posting the boat’s first ever Double Sailfish release.
He returned on the 25th and added another sweet Sailfish release to his ever-growing scorecard.
Our new friend Ben Smith brought his two sons along for a freewheeling afternoon of fun on the 23rd, punctuated by a big stack of filets.
This Yellowfin Tuna and Cubera Snapper yield two of the most desirable meats in all of fishing.

The Explorer pulled double duty on February 22…client Julia Peebles and her group were quite productive in the morning session, scoring these big Yellowfin Tunas.
