On the 19th, the Explorer welcomed Rob Youngman and his family for a quick five-hour trip to the blue water, and the 28-foot fighter knocked out several sweet Sailfish releases.
Even on a short day the Explorer delivers the goods!
The white-hot billfish bite continued on July 19 with Captain Alex reporting a mammoth day for anglerย Steve Balz and his boys. This monster Blue Marlin was the highlight of the trip:
The Marlin was backed-up by this great Sailfish release:
Of course the boys didn’t go home empty-handed, as a squad of tasty Dorados found their way to the fishbox.

Captain Alex welcomedย Daniel Bryant and his family on July 18 for a sweet day of fierce fishing action.
The early part of the day featured great meat fish action with Dorados on ice.
In the afternoon session the Harvester dug in for fun Sailfish releases.
Captain Fico’s Explorer is a great place for young anglers to learn the craft of fishing, and on July 10 this young man got a lesson in near-shore fishing.
These excellent Yellowfin Tunas were the highlight of the trip, which also included a nice Jack Crevalle.
Walt Bailey and his son scored a nice pile of filets on June 28. Check out these sweet Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna scores.
It’s always great to see young anglers get a taste of great blue water action.
Our old pal Leo Hart is back and he posted a banner day with the Harvester on June 5.
This trio of Sailfish were no match for the mega panga. After the clean safe releases they went meat-hunting, and filled the icebox with these excellent Dorados.

John Moon returned on the 4th and scored a nice double Yellowfin Tuna score during the morning session.
The Wanderer returned to Garza to drop off Mr. Moon and pick up Francie Melville’s family for a great afternoon session.
The bite intensified in the afternoon and the size of the catches were off the charts.

2018 All Star Calgary Flames goalkeeper Mike Smith traded his blocker pads for fishing reels on April 30 and brought his family to Nosara for some excellent blue water action on April 30.

The whole family got in on the action with many excellent catches.
After several big Dorado scores, Mike deployed the flyrod to nabbed another tasty Mahi.

The Harvester kept up the pressure on the 29th with a haul that may put the fish market out of business. Look at this whopper of a Dorado:
This was backed up with some smaller but equally tasty Dorados for the kids.
Naturally the mega panga wasn’t leaving without scoring a nice Sailfish release for the scrapbook.

Dan Bowman and his girls had such a good time on the Wanderer on April 19 that he signed up for a return engagement on the morning of April 25 with the Explorer.
Well it turns out lightning can strike twice, as proved by this grand array of fresh fish filets.
For the afternoon session, Captain Fico welcomed Shawn Cline and Philip Yim. They also found great blue water success on the Super Panga.
This super Sailfish release was backed up by more nice Yellowfin Tunas.
