The Harvester and angler John Baumgart scored the first big haul of the season for Yellowfin Tuna.

We have scored scattered Yellowfins this year, but not this big or numerous.

This is a great sign of the second high season which is right around the corner.

The last fish of the day was also the last fish ever for this rod which snapped off under pressure…that’s what happens when you battle the world’s baddest fish!

However the fish didn’t fare much better than the rod:

Captain Alex kept the Harvester inshore on the 19th. Chris and Charlotte Keane followed up their brilliant offshore success with some very unique catches.

This Congrio is always a fun catch; this fish/eel hybrid yields a white lobster-like meat that is second to none. Also it provides a unique fight as it is one of the few sea creatures that can swim backwards.

The rest of the day was dominated by Red Groupers, excellent for sandwiches and a bunch of fun to catch.

Chris and Charlotte Keane joined the Harvester on March 17 and just five hours of fishing loaded up on a lifetime’s worth of great catches.

These high-flying Sailfish came in hot and heavy, but the mega panga was up for the challenge.

All of these Sailfish were safely released as usual.

They didn’t go home empty-handed, thanks to this excellent Dorado on deck.

Chis and Charlotte Keane celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a full day of action on the mega panga Harvester.

Captain Alex reports steady bites from Sailfish as the season continues to heat up.

Amazing above-the-water acrobatics from this awesome animal!

This trip also featured a big two-handed Dorado for the dinner table:

Great work by Captain Alex and the mega panga!

The mega panga and anglers Miles Clarkson and Aaron Revere had a mammoth day of Sailfish releases on March 14, with big numbers of big releases.

Miles sent us a very nice message:

“Craig, We had a great day fishing with Alex & Wilson!”

“They were very professional and put us on a bunch of Sails. Love the boat, too.”

“We has a great weak in Nosara and will make sure to recommend you guys to anyone we know heading down there!”

John and Alice Hagaman joined the Brent Cockerham group for a blistering day of action on the Harvester, highlighted by a swarm of Rooster Fish releases.

While they were offshore they nabbed several nice Dorados for the dinner table.

The cherry on top of this sundae was this beautiful Rooster Fish release.

Great work by Captain Alex!
