John Gilvary scored again on June 17. Here is his email to us:

Well the last day of fishing did not disappoint with the addition of a Cubera Snapper to the list of fish caught down here in Costa Rica this time around. We caught some black tuna and Jack Crevelle for bait and then Jack landed this beautiful Cubera Snapper in 120 feet of water.ย

Released after the photo.

We had a small blue marlin jumping like crazy around the boat which was awesome to see, hopefully he grows up and we catch him next visit. Until our next visit Pura Vida my friends!!

John Gilvary had a great time on June 15 with theย Wanderer. Let’s have John tell the story:

Well the fishing was pretty slow our first two days with only a couple of fish, but today was what we came here for. All the yellowfin tuna you could want to catch followed up by a fantastic first sailfish release for Jack, Ryan and Chris.

We will eat good again tonight and sleep like babies. Monday we head back out to see what the Pacific Ocean has to offer up, Pura Vida from Nosara

John Gilvary’s group scored a nice stack of Yellowfin Tunas on June 21 with the Wanderer.

From John’s Facebook post: “Well day one of fishing in Costa Rica went about as well as one could hope. All the yellowfin you could want and no Marlin hooked up but had 4 come into the spread and show their bills.”

“Luckily we have 3 more full days offshore to lockdown some Marlin as well as a couple of sailfish to cross them off their lists.”

“The boys did an amazing job with their first yellowfin tunas and many laughs were shared with the crew.”
